Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson Wentz have finally confirmed Ashlee’s pregnancy.

In a statement, the couple says: 

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy. Wow.

“The story is true,” Bill Vigars, a Vancouver-based rep for David Foster, confirms, of the report that Aiken, 29, impregnated David’s sister, music producer Jaymes Foster. “It is true. Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She’s due in August.”

See, Clay didn’t actually have sex with a woman.

Vigars added of Aiken and Foster, “They have been friends ever since American Idol, when they worked together.”

Foster also executive produced Aiken’s album, A Thousand Different Ways.

Clay will have an active role in raising the child.

Kirsten Dunst is speaking out about the time that she spent in rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah.

According to Dunst, who is 26:

“I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression. It was a good six months before I decided to go away. I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

When it was announced that Dunst has entered into a rehab facility, it was widely assumed that the actress was seeking treatment for alcohol abuse. Dunst is often photographed drunk, to which many tabloid bloggers nicknamed her “Kirsten Drunkst”.

I’m not sure if I completely believe that she was in rehab strictly for depression and nothing else. That just doesn’t sound likely.

Remember back in March, when it was announced that Patrick Swayze probably on had five months to live? Well, almost three months later Patrick is getting treatments for his pancreatic cancer and he says he is responding well.

In a statement issued to PEOPLE, Patrick says:

“Thought I’d give you guys a little update. Lisa and I have been back and forth from New Mexico enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves. This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa’s birthday, where I took her jewelry shopping at Kenny G & Company and (we) were able to find her something really special and much deserved! In the meantime, I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well.”

Swayze, 55, who announced in March he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, is undergoing treatment at Stanford University Medical Center.

Our thoughts continue to be with the Swayze family.

Britney Spears made an appearance at designer Christian Audigiers’s 50th birthday party and brought her agent/boyfriend Jason Trawick. Trawick also recently vacationed with Britney, her dad, and Mel Gibson in Costa Rica.

Poor Britney. She just doesn’t look happy to us. These two just don’t seem into each other. Maybe they are madly in love, and this picture happened to be snapped at an awkward moment. We want Britney to find happiness though. She seems really sweet and she has been through enough.

Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff – who previously denied that she and boyfriend Mario Lopez had split – seems to prove her point Sunday, sitting on top of the world (or Lopez’s shoulders, at least) while frolicking in Miami.

These two are just too good looking.  Wow.  Look at their bodies!

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt celebrates her 2nd birthday today. She was born May 27, 2006, in Namibia, Africa.

“Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born,” mom Angelina Jolie has said.

Following in her parents’ glamorous footsteps, Shiloh filmed a small spot in her dad’s, Brad Pitt‘s, upcoming flick The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at just 10 months old.

This family has the worst luck with cars!  Maybe it is time to hire a car service full-time?

The Hogan family was involved in another car accident Sunday, when Hulk Hogan‘s daughter Brooke‘s car was hit and pushed into a concrete wall by a man witnesses said was speeding.

No injuries were reported to either Brooke Bollea, 20, her female passenger, or to the 19-year-old man in the car that hit Bollea’s on the Bayside Bridge in Clearwater, Fla., according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol. No charges have been filed in the accident.

Bollea’s 2008 four-door Mercedes had $3,000 damage done to it, according to the release.

Hulk Hogan (real name: Terry Bollea) and Brooke’s mom Linda were both spotted Sunday at the scene of Brooke’s accident.

On May 9, Nick Bollea, Brooke’s 17-year-old brother was sentenced to eight months Florida’s Pinellas County Jail for felony reckless driving after pleading no contest in in court.

George Clooney is speaking out on the death of film legend Sydney Pollack, who succumbed to cancer Monday at age 73.

“Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better,” the actor – who worked with Pollack in 2007′s Michael Clayton – said in a statement.

Pollack, most famous for directing Out of Africa, Tootsie and They Way We Were, co-produced and starred in Clayton. (He also served as executive producer for Clooney’s Leatherheads.)

“A tip of the hat to a class act,” Clooney’s tribute continued. “He’ll be missed terribly.”

At the time of his death, the Oscar-winning director was surrounded by family at his home in Pacific Palisades, said his publicist Leslee Dart.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a $70 million chateau in the French Riviera to base their growing family.

The couple are said to have looked at around 100 properties before settling on the 35-bedroom estate.

The sprawling residence comes complete with it’s own vineyard, moat, lake and forest which they bought direct from the owner after spotting the property from the air by helicopter.

The pair hope to move in by the beginning of August as they are expecting twins on the 19th.

A source close to the deal said: ‘It’s a place called Chateau Miraval which is in a tiny village called Brignol in the Var, not far from Aix en Provence.

‘Just the driveway up to the Chateau is three miles long.

‘There’s a lake and a swimming pool and fountains and fields with ponies in and it’s surrounded by a huge forest so no-one will be able to take pictures of them or the kids.

‘They’re both thrilled as they’ve been hunting for a place on the Riviera for over a year and it’s exactly what they want.

‘Last year Brad and Angelina took a helicopter along the Riviera and they were literally landing in people’s gardens of houses that they liked and were running in to ask if their properties were for sale.

‘And they found this one the same way a few weeks ago, and told the owner to name his price and although it’s a huge sum of money they were happy to pay it as it’s just what they had in mind.

‘They’ll be moving in roughly three months and living there full- time.’

The magnificent cascading stone-walled terraces have been replanted with 13 different varieties of olives.

The estate is surrounded by water with twenty fountains, aquaducts, and a stream runs through hidden tunnels and into the moat and fills the lake.

The location of the chateau is perfect for Angelina who has chosen to give birth to her twins in France as a tribute to her French grandmother and mother.

It’s also proved an ideal situation since the family are planning to set up home there for some weeks after the birth.
