Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch confirms her hospital stay.

Her father says Amy needed “to rehydrate her after she’d been vomiting”.

Amy was vomiting because she is going through drug withdrawal. In this case, the vomiting is a good thing because Amy is trying to get sober; the vomiting is a side effect.

Mr. Winehouse said the star, who was admitted to rehab last month, was moved to hospital because her clinic did not have sufficient medical facilities to treat her dehydration.

“Everything is going according to plan and she’s perfectly OK,” Mr. Winehouse said, adding that she was now back in the rehab clinic.
