Bernie Mac 

Actor and comedian Bernie Mac has been hospitalized due to pneumonia.  There are conflicting reports surfacing about the star’s condition.  His rep says that he is responding well to treatment and will be out of the hospital soon.  A Chicago Sun-Times source who knows the comedian’s family says that Bernie Mac is actually in very critical condition.

The pneumonia is unrelated to Mac’s sarcoidosis, a chronic disease that can inflame tissue, particularly in the lungs. Mac’s sarcoidosis has been in remission since 2005.
