Britney Spears is having a busy birthday!
Today is her 27th birthday and she went on Good Morning America and announced a new world tour.
For the first time in five years, Spears will headline an arena tour beginning in 2009. The tour comes alongside the Louisiana native’s much anticipated sixth studio album, “Circus,” which was released today.
The album has already spawned the No. 1 hit single “Womanizer,” which Spears performed on GMA today.
Spears’ tour will include 27 cities, beginning in her home state. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 6, and the well-choreographed Spears will begin rehearsing for next year’s must-see tour in January.
As one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, Spears has seen her fame and musical accolades increase since she released her first song, “Baby One More Time” in 1999. Ten years later the blond bombshell still is a hot ticket in the industry.
