Britney Spears in a bikini

Britney Spears must have decided that she needed to make a serious commitment to health after her vacation with Mel Gibson, when photos of her in a bikini surfaced and everyone wondered if she was pregnant again.  No woman wants to be asked if she is pregnant when she isn’t.  Talk about a self esteem killer!

As you can see from the above picture, Britney is looking tight and toned these days.  Apparently, this new body is the result of a strict diet, exercise, and also a lot of money spent. Britney is spending roughly $22 grand a month on a personal trainer, nutritionist and dance choreographer.

The Daily Mail reports:

Her expensive heath make-over included £5,000-a-month on a nutritionist and diet supplements, £4,000 on a personal trainer and £2,000 on a private dance choreographer.

A source was quoted in Closer magazine as saying: ‘She limits herself to 1400 calories a day with one ‘cheat day’ where she’ll treat herself.’

‘She also changed the way she eats, trying to have only two thirds of what is on her plate. It’s all about portion control and fresh food now. And lots of water in place of Red Bull.’

She has also taken on some of Victoria Beckham’s diet tips, eating plenty of steamed fish and snacking on edamame beans.

Britney also endures intensive work-outs with Pussycat Dolls’ personal trainer James Van Daff as well as three-hour dance classes six times a week.

I guess if Britney is going to spend an absurd amount of money on something, at least she is putting it towards taking care of herself.

She looks damn good!
