Actress Amanda Peet, 36, is pregnant with her second child.
Peet and her husband of three years, screenwriter David Benioff, had a daughter in 2007. Daughter Frances “Frankie” Pen, is named after Peet’s mother, Penny.
About motherhood Peet says, “One surprise of motherhood for me was how little control I have,” she told Cookie magazine last summer. “I thought it would be an extended, blissful romance with me at the helm, cuddling this little creature to life. It’s been bittersweet and humbling to let her lead, and to try not to be perfect myself.”
“I’m trying not to think about what the world will be like when she grows up,” she said. “I think more about when is she going to start drinking and wearing a G-string and how can I stop those things from happening.”

“When I was pregnant with my daughter Frankie, I had all kinds of questions, including ones about immunization. There is a wealth of misinformation about vaccines out there, particularly in Hollywood.”
“My husband and I took the time to speak to several doctors about our concerns. What became clear to us was that delaying vaccines could jeopardize our baby’s life. I have teamed up with Every Child By Two to help parents get the facts straight on this very important issue.”
“My main message to parents is that they should not be taking medical advice from me or any other celebrity. They should look to their pediatrician, the AAP and other experts.”

It kind of sounds like she is slamming Jenny McCarthy indirectly when she talks about Hollywood and celebrity misinformation.
