The Tourist is remake of the 2005 French film written and directed by Jerome Salle. It is a thriller about an American tourist who finds his life in danger when a female Interpol agent uses him as a dupe to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair. The movie also stars Sam Worthington and Johnny Depp and currently doesn’t have a release date set.

Angelina Jolie, 34, and her father, Jon Voight, 71, have reconciled after years of estrangement. Voight was photographed in Venice with Jolie, who was there with the rest of her family for an Italian getaway. Word is that their reconciliation actually started ”a few months ago, after many long talks between Jon and Angie,” a longtime Voight associate says.

The source said it was all about Voight firmly promising — ”over and over and over again” — that he would never again talk to the press about any personal things involving Brangelina or their kids.

”I get the impression Jon is so anxious to have a relationship with Angie [Brad Pitt] and his grandchildren, he guaranteed he would really be careful about all future comments,” indicating Jolie even demanded her father make his pledge in writing.

Nothing like reuniting with one’s father after a confidentiality agreement.

Jolie and Voight were previously out of touch for seven years. In the fall, Voight, said, “We’re in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”

Jolie stopped speaking to her father in 2001 after a teary Voight appeared on Access Hollywood saying, “I haven’t come forward and addressed the serious mental problems she has spoken about so candidly to the press over the years, but I’ve tried behind the scenes in every way.”

US Magazine wanted to get to the bottom of the mystery so they consulted number of plastic surgeons to find out what’s really going on because, as Beverly Hills-based Dr. Gabriel Chiu expalins, “it’s unlikely that the banding can occur from strong facial muscles alone.”

Dr. Elie Levine, who has not treated Jolie, says that it appears she’s “received Botox to her face and likely her neck” because she shows “no wrinkles along the sides of her eyes (the crow’s feet) despite that very large smile… and her forehead is smooth.”

Botox paralyzes muscles, causing one to “recruit other muscles that are not regularly used to twisting the neck and smiling widely” to compensate, he adds.

Dr. Chiu believes Jolie may have had a “minimally invasive procedure” — such as Gore-Tex injected into her face — to lift and suspend “the tissues in her neck, jaw line and lower face.”

Dr. Brian Glatt concurs. “Angelina appears to have had a procedure done to tighten her lower face, neck, and jaw line such as a mini or lower facelift,” he says.

If she had a mini-facelift, Dr. Andrew Jacano says the skin was not lifted far enough back. “Think of it like making your bed,” he says. “If you don’t pull the sheets tight enough, they’ll appear wrinkled and bunched at the corners.”

But Dr. Lyle M. Back believes Jolie has not received any cosmetic surgery. He credits the protrusion to Jolie’s “very thinned out skin — tented and pulled over the edge of the angle of her jaw” as the result of her having less than 10 percent body fat. “Body builders love to employ a variety of techniques to get their skin looking this thin so that the judges can actually see the striations and fiber lines in their muscles through their skin,” he adds.

Her blonder look is for her upcoming role in the thriller “The Tourist,” which also stars Johnny Depp. They begin filming on March 15.

This is not the first time Jolie has changed her appearance for a role. As a CIA agent in the action film “Salt”, (out this July), Jolie sported a number of different looks, including a long dark wig with bangs, and a blonde wig.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s foundation is contributing $1 million to the emergency medical operation responding to the devastating 7.0-magnitude quake in Haiti. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation is donating the funds to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres, whose three hospitals in Port-au-Prince were severely damaged, forcing the staff to work out of open-air hospitals.

“It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades,” says Jolie.

Adds Pitt: “We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care.”

They sure do know how to make the most out of any photo op.

The power couple couple seemed to be in cheerful moods, with Angelina toting Zahara while Brad carrying Shiloh.

Over the past couple of days, Angelina has been fulfilling her Salt re-shoot duties Pier 66 in Manhattan with its artic temperature. Brrr!!!

It is being widely reported today that Angelina Jolie, 34, does not approve of the way Barack Obama is running the country.

“She hates him,” a source close to Angelina, who is a U.N. goodwill ambassador, says.

“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.

But don’t expect to see the actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.

“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.

And those political views are putting her at odds with Brad Pitt, 45, who is a big fan of the president and even went solo to the 2008 election party in Chicago.

“They get in nasty arguments all the time about it,” says the source. “She doesn’t respect Brad when it comes to politics, but, in the end, this won’t tear them apart.”

Due next July, the film centers around mysterious Evelyn A. Salt (Jolie), a rogue CIA operative trying to clear her name.

Fun Fact: The role was intended for Tom Cruise but was rewritten for Jolie after Cruise dropped out.

Angelina Jolie had sex with her mother’s boyfriend when she was just 16, according to a bombshell new biography penned by controversial writer Andrew Morton.

“Marcheline had a live-in boyfriend whom she was very much in love with, but Ange slept with him when she was 16 and barely out of school,” a source told the magazine. “Her mother found out and ended her relationship with the man.”

Jolie and her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, could not come to terms with each other after the Oscar winning star confessed to the act, and at the time they struggled to repair their damaged relationship.

The source also says: “When Ange admitted the story to her brother James just a few weeks ago, even he turned on her. She has hardly anyone left in life who likes or trusts her.”

Angelina’s mother died of cancer, in 2007, at the age of 56. At the time, Angelina was said to be devastated and was noticeably thinner after her mother’s passing.

Morton’s unauthorized book about Jolie is expected to be released sometime this winter.
