Beyonce is breaking her silence about Kanye West storming the stage at the VMAs to declare that she should have won Best Female Video instead of Taylor Swift.

“Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award,’” Beyonce, 28, told O: The Oprah magazine editor at large Gayle King at the Billboard Awards over the weekend, when Beyonce was named Woman of the Year.

“When they didn’t call my name, he was, like, completely shocked,” Knowles says. “And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’”

Knowles, who handed the mic over to Swift after winning Video of the Year later that night, goes on, “But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment, and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

After his outburst, West, 32, apologized multiple times on his blog, to Jay Leno and to Swift — and declared he was taking time away from the public eye to “analyze how I’m gonna make it through the rest of this life and improve.”

It was announced last week that West’s “Fame Kills” tour with Lady Gaga had been canceled.

What do you think about Beyonce’s comments about Kanye? Beyonce’s husband, Jay Z, is responsible for Kanye’s career so we’re not surprised that she seems to be acting really sympathetic, but saying he was defending art doesn’t really hold water with us.

Etta James let an audience at a Seattle concert last week know how pissed she is at Beyonce. James trashed Beyonce for singing a rendition of “At Last” at President Barack Obama’s inauguration. James’ anger seems odd considering Beyonce recently played Etta in the film Cadillac Records, and the two had a ball at the premiere. Did Etta forget that it is a huge compliment to her that a huge star sang her song to at the president’s inauguration?

Etta seems jealous.

“I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her ass whupped,” James told an audience at the Paramount Theatre, sarcastically calling her “The great Beyoncé.”

James didn’t finish there.

“I can’t stand Beyoncé,” she spit out on an audio clip posted on Allhiphop.com, adding that Beyoncé “had no business … singing my song that I been singing forever.

Miss Etta James went on to trash the president.

“You know your President, right? You know the one with the big ears?” she asked the audience. “He ain’t my President.”

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off their first dance of the night to Beyonce singing “At Last,” the signature song of blues singer Etta James, at what was dubbed “the neighborhood ball.”

First Lady Michelle Obama also showed off her white, one-shouldered flowing gown, studded with applique embroidery and accessorized with thin diamond bracelets, a huge ring and dangling earrings, with peep-toe white shoes.

The dress was designed by young Taiwanese-born designer Jason Wu, who has been in the fashion business for just three years.

“We got the idea of the neighborhood ball, because we are neighborhood people. And I cut my teeth doing neighborhood work,” Obama, looking dapper in a black tuxedo and white bow tie, told the crowd.

Beyonce looked pretty at the Globes.  We aren’t completely loving her look, but we give her props for having the courage to show so much boobie and leg.  Her “globes” are about to pop out!

Does Beyonce have so much going on that she forgot to shave?  Is she one of those celebrities that has to have everything done for her and no one told her to shave?  Whatever the excuse, it is hard to imagine going to a premiere for a movie that you star in and not taking the time for personal grooming.

Maybe Beyonce never shaves her pits?  Eww!

Beyonce was supposed to be in Japan on Election Night to promote her upcoming album (due out November 18), “I Am … Sasha Fierce,” but decided to postpone it at the last minute.

“I said, ‘What am I doing? I’m completely making a bad decision. I have to go home, I’m gonna kill myself if I’m not home in America,”’ she said. “I knew I needed to be here.”

Beyonce still won’t confirm her April 4 wedding to Jay-Z, so there was no chance yesterday she’d confirm she’s pregnant. But pals of the tight-lipped newlyweds say the songbird is expecting the couple’s first child. “She has gained a lot of pregnancy weight,” a source said. “When she gains weight, she normally does the Def Jam detox, but not now.”

A rep for Beyoncé said, “I don’t know if she’s pregnant. Let me perform an ultrasound and get back to you.” Meow!

Now that they are married, we expect there to be baby rumors right up until the day that Beyonce actually gives birth, if ever.
