The first one hasn’t been released yet, but a sequel to Sherlock Holmes is already being talked about with Brad Pitt joining the cast.

Sherlock Holmes, Guy Ritchie’s take on Arthur Conan Doyle’s super sleuth, doesn’t hit cinemas until December, but reports suggest plans are already in place for a sequel.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. is in talks with screenwriting team Kieran and Michele Mulroney to start work on a followup. Executives are believed to see franchise potential in the project, the first instalment of which stars Robert Downey Jr as Holmes, with Jude Law as Dr Watson.

Such plans would appear to fly in the face of speculation that the movie has had a troubled production, including rumored re-shoots and bafflement over the decision not to feature Holmes’s arch nemesis, Professor Moriarty. Brad Pitt has reportedly been lined up to play the character in the sequel.

Quentin Tarantino was on Howard Stern’s Sirius radio show this morning promoting his new movie, Inglourious Basterds.

Stern asked about the meeting that Tarantino had with Brad Pitt, the star of the film, before they started shooting. Tarantino said he flew to the Pitt-Jolie compound in France and that he and Brad drank five bottles of Rosé wine. When asked if Angelina Jolie joined them, Tarantino explained that the meeting was during the time when Jolie was in the hospital because she had just given birth to the twins. So Brad was taking a very drunken business meeting while Jolie was in the hospital with twins. Stern seemed to think this was strange, but joked that being the new father to twins was a reason to drink heavily.

Oh, but the story gets better!

Tarantino said the “coolest” thing that Pitt did was pull out a big brick of hash and cut him off a sliver to take with him. Pitt even advised Tarantino not to put it in his suitcase! Tarantino said he asked Pitt if he had a pipe to give him and Pitt just went to the frige and pulled out a can of coke. Tarantino laughed, saying, “Yeah, I know what to do with this,” (meaning he knew how to fashion a hash pipe out of a coke can). What hash expertise those two have!

Artie Lange went on to say, “I wonder what kind of hash Brad Pitt would have.” They all started laughing and Tarantino said, “Brad Pitt doesn’t have shit hash.” They joked that Pitt probably gets the best has in the world. Stern asked Tarantino where the Jolie-Pitt kids were while they were smoking. Tarantino said the kids were in bed.

For those that don’t know, hashish (more commonly called hash) is a potent form of cannabis produced by collecting and processing the most potent material that female marijuana plants naturally generate as part of their growth cycle. Marijuana, a cheaper and less potent cannabis product, is the dried flower tops from female cannabis plants. Hashish is obtained by eliminating plant material and collecting the trichomes from the flower tops of female cannabis plants.

Interestingly, just as recently as Friday night, Brad Pitt was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO. Maher who openly talks about smoking pot and often professes that it should be legalized asked Pitt his stance on the political issue. Pitt said he is for the legalization and taxation of marijuana. Maher then recounted a New Year’s Eve party at which he says he witnessed Pitt rolling “the most perfect” joints he had ever seen. Pitt’s cheeky response? “I’m an artist.”

Pitt told Maher that he doesn’t smoke pot anymore because he’s a dad. “I’m a dad now. You want to be alert and my eyes used to glaze over when I did that,” he told Maher.

Pitt was a father when he was breaking up a brick of hash and giving some to Tarantino; in fact, he was the father of newborn twins who were still in the hospital! Maybe that was the very last time Pitt smoked. …Yeah, we don’t think so either!!!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, both looking stellar in their own respective all-black ensembles, attended the LA premiere of Brad’s new movie, Inglourious Basterds, at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Jolie, wearing a form-fitting strapless black leather Michael Kors dress and Dior heels, held on to her beau, who donned an all-black suit, while walking the red carpet. This isn’t the first time the pair have decided to wear matching ensembles. In January, they attended the premiere of Pitt’s film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in Paris wearing all gray.

“Inglourious Basterds” is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide August 21st and promises to live up to all of the Quentin Tarantino-infused hype.

Brad Pitt was asked if he believes in God and responded, “No, no, no! I’m probably 20 per cent atheist and 80 per cent agnostic. I don’t think anyone really knows. You’ll either find out or not when you get there, until then there’s no point thinking about it.”

Brad Pitt is on the cover of Wired magazine’s August issue. Pitt is 45 and this is the first time we’ve really seen him look his age.

Wired is pretty much a tech and gadget mag, which we guess is why Pitt is wearing and Bluetooth headset.

His interview with the magazine is comprised of tech-ish questions.

Pitt says he’d never take a photo of Angelina Jolie’s butt and post it online – the way Ashton Kutcher posted Demi Moore’s rear end in a bikini on his Twitter page.

“Don’t take a picture of your wife’s butt. That’s silly,” he tells the magazine. “Take pictures of other people’s wives’ butts.”

As for online dating, Pitt warns those looking for love on the Internet.

“Everyone lies online,” he says. “In fact, readers expect you to lie. If you don’t, they’ll think you make less than you actually do. So the only way to tell the truth is to lie.”

Wired also asked if it’s acceptable to talk on the phone while using the bathroom.

“No, you can’t talk on the phone!” Pitt declares. “Do you want the guy next to you to hear your entire conversation?”

Pitt says texting on the potty is acceptable, however.

“Just be sure you don’t hit the wrong button and end up putting a photo of your junk on Twitter,” he says. “Trust me, you don’t want those followers.”

Ha ha. Pitt is sort of funny, but sort of not.

David Beckham, who had previously posed with wife Victoria Beckham in raunchy underwear advertisements for Emporio Armani, says he won’t be posing for any sexy pictures in the new ad campaign with Angelina Jolie, the new female face for the company.

“She is an amazing person and so is Brad. They’re an incredible couple and they have an amazing family. You know she wouldn’t do it and I wouldn’t do it.

“At the end of the day, I wouldn’t do it because I’m married.”

David has been married to Victoria for ten years.

Maybe he knows that once you shoot a film/ad/commercial/ with Angelina, you suddenly have an intense desire to cheat on your wife? We’re talking to you, Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt offered up some unconventional hygiene tips for his costars while filming Inglourious Basterds.

“After a scene, Brad had to get next to me for a close-up shot, and he said, ‘Damn, you’re ripe,’ ” says costar Eli Roth. “I said, ‘I didn’t have time to shower.’ He said, ‘Baby wipes, man, baby wipes.’ ”

Pitt said, “I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits.” Pitt further said, “Man, I’m getting pissed on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”

Kind of gross, but very informative, Brad!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Inglourious Basterds” in Cannes, France.

Pitt says he can barely recall agreeing to take part in the Quentin Tarantino directed WWII film.

“Quentin came to visit some time at the end of the summer, we talked about backstory, we talked about movies,” Pitt, 45, said. “I get up the next morning and see five empty bottles of wine right on the floor. Five.”

“And something that resembles a smoking apparatus. I don’t know what that was about -– and apparently I had agreed to do this film,” Brad continues. “Six weeks later I was in uniform, and I was Lieutenant Aldo Raine.”

Brad Pitt has allegedly been making drunken phone calls to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston to apologize for his role in their divorce.

As he should! Brad must be a real coward if he can only apologize to her after he’s had a few drinks.

Sources say the actor, who has 6 children with partner Angelina Jolie, has told Aniston he is sorry and he misses her. “She was initially taken aback – especially as he sounded drunk and sorry for himself. He told her he misses her and that he’s sorry for any hurt caused. Jen being Jen immediately told him she’d never held a grudge against him and would welcome them being friends again, so long as she doesn’t have to be friends with Angelina. He agreed.”

Pitt, 45, and Aniston, 40, were divorced in 2005 after 5 years of marriage.

Do you think Brad has more kids than he bargained for and is a little overwhelmed? When Brad and Angelina hooked up, it was all lust. Only a couple of years later he is sitting in hotel rooms watching the six kids while Angelina makes movies! Yeah, he probably does miss the fun he had with Jen! Plus, Angelina has been looking like a lollipop lately with her big head and anorexic body.

Jennifer Aniston’s BFF, Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette spent their Sunday night hanging out with Jen’s ex-hubby, Brad Pitt.

Cox was at the Wiltern Theater in LA with husband David Arquette for the final stop on rocker Chris Cornell’s Scream album tour when Pitt showed up. A source says, “Instead of ignoring him, Courteney chatted away with Brad all night. The three were in great spirits and seemed really happy to see each other.”

How very mature of them. They probably talked about their kids, but we’re wondering if Courteney asked about Angelina!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took kids Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 2, to the Stop and Shop grocery store in New York. Angelina is filming the movie Salt in NYC.

Of the celeb family’s shopping excursion, customer service worker Monira Ahmed told the press, “They were here for 30 minutes and left. They were very friendly. They gave autographs and allowed people to take pictures of them inside… very nice.”

That is great, but what about Zahara??? We’re guessing Z was probably invited too, but OK! was too dick to put her on the cover too. All three girls are about the same age. Suri and Shiloh were born a month apart in April and May 2006 respectively, while Zahara is a year older and will turn four in July.

“Katie loves entertaining and spoke to Angelina about having an at-home tea party with cupcakes for the girls,” a friend of Katie’s tells OK!. “It’s something she has wanted to do for ages.”

The two women are said to have chatted about the idea at a Golden Globes afterparty back in January after being introduced by their men Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, who co-starred in 1994’s Interview with a Vampire.
