Britney Spears headed back into the dance studio to teach a class of 15 children.

And her pint-sized pupils are singing her praises. “I like Britney,” 5-year-old Elissa Bouganim, who has taken three classes with the pop star. “Today, first we were dancing slow, and then faster and faster … Then we did the fish-move and lots of other fun things.”

The 26-year-old has become a semi-regular instructor at the Millennium Dance Complex in the past month – as she has settled into an uncharacteristically quiet routine overseen by her dad Jamie.

“It’s just amazing to watch Britney with the kids,” says Elissa’s mom, Pam. “Elissa won’t stop dancing now, that’s all she wants to do. Britney has really inspired her.”

In fact, Elissa has grown so fond of her new teacher, she even gave Spears a gift during Tuesday’s class. “It was a picture of [Peter Pan’s] Tinkerbell,” she says. “And she gave me a hug.”

These days, Elissa would be happy if Spears taught all her classes. “Britney is nice,” she says. “I want to dance with Britney all the time because it’s so much fun.”

Britney seems to be in a MUCH better place than she was a few months ago!  Go Brit!

In the most desperate of desperate moves, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have used a Britney Spears track that didn’t make it into one of her albums. Apparently, they don’t have authorized permission to use the track either!

Britney did not authorize the song’s release and she had no idea about it until Montag leaked it, sources say.

“Heidi and Spencer got their hands on an old demo recording of Britney’s that never made it onto any of her albums,” an insider reveals. “They’ve been working with a lot of producers on Heidi’s new album and one of them gave them the track. They decided to turn it into a duet instead of having Heidi re-record the song with just her vocals because they knew they’d get more press this way.”

So the best Heidi can do is to steal a track that wasn’t good enough to make it onto one of Britney’s albums? Pathetic.

The latest buzz on Britney’s boys: They got haircuts!

Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 17 months, debuted their shorter new ‘dos during an outing with grandma Lynne today at Kevin Federline’s house in L.A.’s Tarzana area.

They took a ride in a red toy convertible as Lynne chatted with the boys’ nanny. Afterwards they visited their mom Britney.

The pop singer reunited with her boys after seven weeks of estrangement this past Saturday.

What is cuter than two little boys in a red wagon?  Precious!

This week started off on the right foot for Britney Spears as she got to spend more time with her sons, 1-year-old Jayden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston yesterday. The boys were brought to Britney’s L.A. home in Kevin Federline’s gray Dodge Viper at around 9 a.m. and they stayed for just a little over three hours.

This visit comes right on the heels of the first visit Britney, 26, had with her kids on Saturday, which was almost two months since she had last seen them. A source close to Britney says that when she saw the kids on Saturday, the visit “went really well.”

This is a good sign that Britney is not only getting her life back on track, but that she and Kevin are dedicated to creating a healthy environment in which to raise their children.  Kevin has wanted Britney to get healthy and see their sons again.  K-Fed has turned out to be a pretty decent guy.

Spear’s camp is hoping to get visitation up to three times a week. Joining Britney at the visits are her father, Jamie Spears, Brit’s psychologist, one of K-Fed’s bodyguards, and the court-appointed monitor and a lawyer representing the conservatorship.

The next hearing for the ongoing custody battle is set to take place on April 9th.

Britney Spears was reunited with her sons for three hours on Saturday.  This is really GREAT news!

After lawyers for Spears and Kevin Federline reached a visitation agreement on Friday the pop star saw her children Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, for the first time since January 3rd.

The boys left Federline’s Tarzana house Saturday morning – put in their car seats by their father, according to photographers – and were driven by Federline’s bodyguard to Spears’s Studio City home.

A source involved in the case says, “The real hero was [Spears’s father] Jamie. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again.”

Sources confirm that father, Jamie and Britney’s psychiatrist were present for the visit.

After a three-hour stay, Spears’s sons left again in the back of Federline’s grey Dodge truck driven by his bodyguard.

Despite rumors that they have been speaking, Britney Spears has not been in touch with her boys since January 3rd. Sadly.

“She desperately wants the kids,” a family source reports. “She cries about it.”

“She hasn’t put the children’s belongings away,” an insider said. “Her home has pictures of her kids everywhere. She loves them very much.”

Kevin Federline and Spears’ parents won’t let Britney speak on the phone to her sons, Us Weekly is reporting.

However, that will hopefully change soon.

K-Fed’s lawyer has nothing but praise for Britney’s dad, who is acting as her conservator.

“Jamie Spears’s presence is an extreme positive,” Mark Vincent Kaplan says “He’s building from the ground up. [He’s] stabilizing the situation, removing people that may not have had [Britney’s] best interests at heart.”

Come on already! Just when we thought Britney Spears was staying within the realm of normalcy, we may have lost her again.

While bundled up in a poofy black jacket that appears to have been ripped off a random ’80s biker, the pop star flashed her cooter last night when getting out of the car for dinner at SHU sushi restaurant in L.A.

Doesn’t she know that’s soooo 2007! With papa Jamie Spears overseeing her well-being as conservator, it’s nice to know that he makes her put on a coat before heading out, and even comb her extensions. But maybe an additional female assistant could act as a wardrobe conservator, making her outfits a little more, ya know, conservative!

Sources say Britney Spears caused some chaos after leaving a trendy LA shop wearing a $200 shirt she did not pay for.

Her 25 aides and bodyguards then argued with the store’s staff and with cops and fans.

But friends of the star, 26, say she simply forgot to hand over cash for the $200 long-sleeved vest. She was not arrested.

Remember when Britney would just ‘forget’ to pay for gas station lighters?  Keep it in check, girl!

Britney Spears spent Saturday night with dad.

The singer, 26, and her father Jamie - whose co-conservatorship over her was recently extended until March 10 — hit Hollywood restaurant Citrus at Social Hollywood shortly before 8 p.m.

She wore diamond earrings and a chocolate brown dress with spaghetti straps; her father carried her fur coat for her.

They spent more than two hours dining before calling it a night.

Though Spears’ relationship with her father appears to be improving, one celeb says she wouldn’t mind taking over parenting duties for the troubled pop singer.

“She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months,” Heidi Klum says in a new interview with German broadcaster ARD. “I would help set her straight.

“I am sorry when a young person gets thrown so off track,” Klum says, according to a transcript obtained by the Associated Press. “She has, of course, lived an extremely wild life.”

What does Heidi Klum know about bipolar disorder?  Britney needs medical attention, not just a ’stern talking-to’ as Heidi is insinuating in her statements.

Britney Spears’ family members tightened their grip on her finances Thursday as the court extended her father’s co-conservator role and granted her brother influence over her day-to-day expenses.

L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz made the rulings amid signs that the singer’s family has helped keep Britney out of trouble since her early release from a psych ward.

Her father Jamie Spears has been overseeing his 26-year-old daughter’s well-being and her estimated $100-million fortune since Feb. 1, when Goetz named him and Andrew Wallet temporary co-conservators – giving them the right to employ bodyguards who control Britney’s actions and restrict her visitors.

On Thursday, Jamie and Wallet requested that the status quo be maintained until March 10 because a psychiatric evaluation of Britney, due Wednesday, had not yet been submitted. The commissioner granted the extension, scheduling a hearing that day to consider extending the conservatorship even further.

Britney’s father and Wallet were also granted the power to handle the singer’s taxes, and Britney’s brother Bryan, 30, was named as a trustee of her trust. According to court papers, trust funds are used “to pay for Britney’s continued security, and to pay for her medicine, food, other day-to-day expenses and for psychiatric and other medical services.”

“She’s getting proper medical care and has professional security. The chaos has been removed from the situation,” says one legal insider.

Although we think Britney is MUCH better off with her family by her side, is her 30 year old brother actually qualified to handle her estate?  Maybe they should hire an actual professional to oversee her finances.
