Only after she had a revelation about her duty to her fans did Rihanna realize that she had to speak out about how she was a victim of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s domestic abuse.

And now she’s almost ashamed of herself for having gotten into a relationship with him in the first place.

“I fell in love with this person,” she tells Diane Sawyer in an interview that aired on Good Morning America Thursday. “That’s embarrassing.”

Rihanna, 21, also hinted that it may have taken “eight or nine attempts” before she could finally leave the relationship.

“It’s pretty easy to go back,” she says, affirming Sawyer’s statement that the average woman makes seven attempts to leave an abusive partner. “You start lying to yourself. The physical wounds go away. You want this thing to go away. This is a memory you don’t want to ever have again.”

Now a reconciliation is all but impossible – a judge has ordered Brown, 20, not to contact Rihanna (real name: Robin Fenty) for five years as part of his sentence.

Rihanna says she was further humiliated by the public nature of the incident, which included a leaked photo of her battered face.

“I was like, here goes my little bit of privacy,” she says.

But she had an epiphany about how her actions after the assault would affect thousands of impressionable girls.

“When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part,” she says. “I couldn’t be responsible for that. Even if Chris never hit me again, who’s to say their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say they won’t kill these girls? I didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened.”

 

Chris Brown was formally sentenced to five years’ probation for beating Rihanna.

A new report that claims Brown, 20, was involved in two previous “domestic violence” incidents with his ex-girlfriend before their February encounter.

The first incident allegedly occurred in Europe three months earlier when Brown and Rihanna were in a “verbal dispute.” She slapped him, and Brown responded by shoving her into a wall, the report stated.

The second incident was in Rihanna’s native Barbados just three weeks before Brown’s February arrest for beating and threatening his ex-girlfriend after the Grammy Awards. While driving, they had an argument. According to the report, Brown got out and broke both the driver’s and front passenger side windows. No one was injured, and the incident was not reported to authorities.

In connection with his February attack on Rihanna, Brown was formally sentenced Tuesday to five years’ probation and was ordered to complete 180 days community labor to be personally supervised by the chief of police in Brown’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia.

He must personally come to court every three months during his probation. The first appearance will be Nov. 19.

There is a new development in the Chris Brown/Rihanna saga.

Chris Brown’s high powered attorney, Mark Geragos formally filed a motion late Wednesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court seeking access to internal LAPD records. Geragos says he believes that the photo of a badly beaten Rihanna (above) was illegally leaked to the media by an LAPD Officer — is harmful to his client — and could lead to the case being dismissed.

Geragos states, “I’m informed and believe that on or about February 19, 2009, a photograph taken by the LAPD depicting physical injuries on Ms. Fenty’s person was illegally leaked to the media. Specifically, I am informed and believe that this highly prejudicial photograph was sold by an LAPD officer to the entertainment website, TMZ. The photograph was immediately viewed by hundreds of thousands of viewers and was displayed on every news channel for several weeks. In fact, the photograph still remains on the TMZ website. The purpose of the leak was necessarily for profit and to vilify Mr. Brown and poison the potential jury pool.”

Geragos further states “If the instant motion reveals evidence of dishonest conduct on any of these officers’ part, I intend to use such evidence at the preliminary hearing to attack their credibility. The defense intends to prove and argue that the afore-mentioned officers are not credible and that the Court should not believe any or all of their testimony. If the Court does not believe these statements, I believe there is a reasonable likelihood that the case will be dismissed at the preliminary hearing.”

Geragos goes on to say, “In this case specifically, the leaking of a photograph (whether for profit or not) of a complaining witness violates a variety of criminal and regulatory prohibitions. In and of itself these actions would not only constitute demonstratable bias on the part of the involved officers but could potentially be the basis for a Motion to Dismiss Outrageous Governmental Misconduct.”

It would be a shame if Chris Brown isn’t criminally punished for beating Rihanna because of a technicality. When you look at the horrifying picture of Rihanna above, remember that it was taken before the swelling and bruising could even set in.

Chris Brown has already started dating again!

This comes just weeks after his tumultuous relationship with Rihanna came to an end.

Chris seems to have found a new love with an old flame. Her name is Erica Jackson and she’s a Virginia college student.

The pair “reconnected a few weeks ago when Chris was in town,” according to source close to Brown. “They’ve been spending a lot of time together, but things only really heated up over the last two weeks.”

Brown and Jackson were spotted leaving a tattoo parlor in Sunset Blvd. on Saturday.

“She’s more of a plain Jane — cute though,” says the source. “At the very least, she’s helping to ease Chris’ pain over Rihanna. He was mad in love with that girl.”

Speaking of mad, we are betting that Rihanna will be upset at seeing Chris move on so quickly.

“Ri is going to be so hurt that Chris has moved on so quickly and is parading this new girl around town.”

Brown pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges on April 6 stemming from an alleged beating he gave Rihanna after a pre-Grammys party in February.

What woman in her right mind would date Chris after seeing the picture of Rihanna’s bruised and bloodied face???

Chris’ next court date for the assault charges is April 29, at which point it’s expected a plea bargain will be entered, one that could possibly even include some jail time for the star.

 

Chris Brown entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of felony assault and making criminal threats. Brown showed up to the courthouse almost a half an hour late.

Rihanna was no where in sight. Sources inside the courtroom say Chris Brown’s mother spent the entire preliminary hearing either in tears or praying for her 19-year-old son. We’re told a handful of friends and four bodyguards were also there to show support for Brown.

Brown’s lawyers are said to be working out a plea deal with the L.A. District Attorney’s office, as they are trying to avoid a court case.

When asked about a plea deal on Monday, Rihanna’s lawyer said, “I believe there are efforts by all parties involved to resolve this case expeditiously. That would be beneficial to everyone. Rihanna would be pleased if this case were resolved quickly and fairly.”

The next hearing is scheduled for April 29th.

This is good news! Sorta.

Although it looked as though Chris Brown and Rihanna were staying together after the assault, it looks like the two are taking some time apart.

According to a source, the break is not an official breakup, though they’ve resolved to each have their own space for the time being. Over the weekend, Brown hung out in LA while Rihanna headed off to New York City.

Diddy was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday and he got a little defensive when answering a question about why he let girl beater Chris Brown and the girl he beat, Rihanna, shack up at his Miami home. Diddy and Ellen didn’t argue, but it got uncomfortable for a minute.

The booty call text message was from Brown’s 40-year-old manager, Tina Davis, who he had a sexual relationship with when he was only 16!

In other Chris and Rihanna news, E! says that the two are recording a duet together. Seriously.

 

Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies for his alleged assault on Rihanna. Here is how it all went down. So disturbing.

From the detective’s notes:

“Christopher B and Robyn F have been involved in a dating relations for approx 1 and half year. On Sunday Feb 8 at 25 hours Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robin F picked brown,s cellular phone and picked up a three-page text message from a woman Brown had had a previous relationship with.

“A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled a vehicle over in an unknown street. Reach over Robyn F with his right hand and open the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehcile causing an approx 1 inch raised circular contusion.

“Robyn F turned to face Brown and punched her in the left eye with right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F Osmouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F and stated “I am going to beat the s–t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!?

“Robyn F picked her cellular phone and called her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales. Rosales did not answer the telephone but while her vm greeting was playing Robyn F pretended to talk to her and stated “I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there? (this statement was made while greeting was playing and was not captured) after Robyn f faked the call, Brown and looked at her and stated, ‘You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I really am going to kill you.’

“Brown resumed punching Robyn F and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist placing her elbows and face near her lap and in attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied by Brown. Brown continued to punch Robyn F on her left arm and hands, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps that was approx 2 inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. Robyn f attempted to send another text message to other personal assistant Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window to an unknown street. Brown continued driving and Robyn F observed his cellular phone in his lap. She picked up the cellular phone with her left hand, and before she could make a call, he placed her in a head lock with right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

“Brown held Robyn F close to him and bit her on her left hear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of [address] and Robyn F turned off the car removed the key from inignition and sat on it. Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F left and right carotid arteries causing her to be unable to breath. She began to lose consciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began to attempting to gauge his eyes in attempt to flee herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and released her. While brown continued to punch her she turned around a place her back to against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest and placed her feet against Brown,s body and began pushing him away.

“Brown continued to punch her on legs and feet causing several contusions. Robyn F began screaming for help. And Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighbor heard Robyn F,s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F was issued a domestic violence protective order (EPO). Affiant conducted an interview with Melissa Ford who advised on Feb. 8 2009 at 2500 hours she received a phone call from Robin F from an unknown telephone number later identified as the telephone number of Officer Chavez. Robin F had advised Ford that she had been assaulted by Brown. At approx at 1 am Brown called Ford as nothing happened. Ford advised Brown that she had already talked to Robin F and was aware of what happened. Ford had advised brown that the neighbors had called police and that they were with Robyn F. Brown had asked Ford if robin F had provided police with his name. And ford advised him that she had. Brown hung up the telephone and did not call back.

“On Feb. 8, Brown turned himself in and was given a copy of the EPO and advised to not contact Robyn.

“On Feb. 17 Ford advised the affiant that she had received text messages from … a number that Ford recognized as belonging to Brown. In the text message Brown apologized for what he had done to Robin F. and advised Ford he was going to get help.”

 

Chris Brown might have reconciled with Rihanna, but the L.A. County District Attorney has just charged Brown with felony assault and making a criminal threat, also a felony.

Good!!!

Brown will be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA. Because there were visible injuries, the crime of making criminal threats is punishable by up to nine years in prison.

Additionally, according to law enforcement sources, when the cops interviewed Rihanna on the night of the infamous attack, the singer revealed Brown had attacked her in the past. Rihanna also reportedly revealed that the violence was escalating and getting worse as time went on!

That is disturbing.

Sources say there are photos of Rihanna’s battered face taken the day after the violent February attack that are even more damaging than the one that leaked to the internet. There is more swelling, bruising and devastation evident.

Based on all of that info, Brown should go to jail and get some serious counseling.
