Joaquin Phoenix has been hospitalized for a stomach ailment, forcing him to skip the premiere of his new drama Two Lovers Monday at the Cannes Film Festival, according to Entertainment Tonight. Have you ever heard of a healthy, young guy being hospitalized for stomach flu? It sounds fishy to us. If they said he was home in bed, I would believe that he only has the flu, but they said he was hospitalized for stomach flu. Joaquin has a history of drug and alcohol abuse. We really hope that it is just the stomach flu. He is one of our favorite actors.
In an email read at a press conference for the film, Phoenix, 33, said he was “very disappointed” he could not attend the premiere.
Director James Gray added that Phoenix wanted to attend, but doctors insisted on hospitalizing him.

The summer’s first potential blockbuster stars Robert Downey Jr. as the Iron Man, and drama-film darling Gwyneth Paltrow as his love interest, Christine Everhart. Taking on the role puts Paltrow in some illustrious company – Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Bosworth, all of whom have played superhero leading ladies.
While the part is something new for Paltrow, she was convinced to take it on after her leading man suggested she break out of the art film market.
”(Robert) was very sweet when he called me, and I think we had both kind of been doing these kind of labor of love art films that had been seen by like 16 people, and he said to me ‘Don’t you wanna be in a movie that people actually see?’” Paltrow recounted. “And I thought ‘I never thought of that!’ So, I’m really, really glad that I did it.”

There is no denying it now. They definitely did get married! Beyoncé and Jay-Z are mum, but their paperwork is doing the talking for them: The couple filed their signed wedding license Friday in Scarsdale, N.Y.
The license – which lists the wedding date as April 4 – was received on Friday afternoon. The couple applied for the license just three days before the ceremony attended by friends and family, including Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child pals Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow.
The couple have remained silent about their nuptials. Shortly after the wedding, Beyonce was spotted with a ring while joining Jay-Z on tour, but neither of them have publicly stepped out with new jewelry.
We want to see the wedding photos? Do you think they will every surface?
Gwyneth Paltrow reveals in the May issue of Vogue that she battled post-partum depression after welcoming her second child, son Moses, in 2006.
“I didn’t know I had it until after it was over,” the actress, 35, says. “I just didn’t know what was wrong with me.”
She suspects her depression stemmed from scaling back on her usual pre-baby treatments like acupuncture.
“I felt really out of my body,” Paltrow says after giving birth. “I felt really disconnected. I felt really down … I felt pessimistic.”
The more women that speak out about this, the more that other women are helped. Thanks Gwyneth!

Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow grabbed dinner together at Giorgio Locatelli’s newly-opened Italian Restaurant in London on Monday.
What do you think they talked about? Maybe Madonna was complaining about Guy Ritchie!

Would you pay $3,600 to walk on your tippy-toes?
Victoria Beckham already has a pair of these Antonio Beradri 5-and-a-half-inch heel-less heels in snakeskin, while Gwyneth Paltrow and Uma Thurman purchased a patent leather version at the bargain price of $2,200, according to the Daily Mail.
If you are wondering how these shoes function, the wearer walks around with all her weight balanced on a thickened platform sole.
They are going on sale in Browns stores in London, where they have to be ordered up to five weeks in advance.
Lincolnshire-born Berardi, 39, said he was inspired by Latin American music and 1980s post-modernism, adding: “When you walk, it is almost on tiptoe. You look really dainty.”
A spokesman for his Paris-based fashion house said: “The shoe has a bigger platform sole which stretches back further than normal and gives support under the arch of the foot.
“When walking though, you have to put your toe rather than your heel down first and you cannot wear them for very long.
“They are not dangerous because you would have to lean quite far back before you fell over.”
Podiatrists, who have already warned about the health impact of high heels, were less impressed.
Wow!

Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted toting her tots to The Kabbalah Centre in NYC on Saturday.
Son Moses, 22 months, who is the spitting image of rocker father Chris Martin, nursed a bottle of milk. Meanwhile, 3-year-old Apple — with long blond locks just like her mother’s, held back by a pink flower barrette — carried a blanket.
The celebrity family has been keeping a low profile in New York for most of the new year, with the exception of last month, when Gwyneth was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital for an gastrointestinal condition.
