Has Jake been working out or what?! He’s quite beefy and we like it.

That little lady holding his hand in the picture is, of course, girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. She looks like she is keeping a close eye on her beefcake.  Fine by us!  I like these two together.  Remember when he was serious with Kirsten Dunst and she was married to Ryan Phillippe?  Nothing against their exes, but Reese and Jake make much better sense together.

It seems that Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish are getting more comfortable taking their romance public.

Phillippe, 33 — who recently finalized his divorce from ex Reese Witherspoon — has been spending lots of time with Cornish, 25, at his new $7 million, five-bedroom pad in the Hollywood Hills. He probably got a huge settlement in the divorce.

Their fling was partially to blame for the end of Phillippe’s marriage to Witherspoon, 32. Phillippe and Cornish wrapped their arms around each other at a summer barbecue in Los Angeles Saturday night.

“Ryan definitely has a thing for her, and things are always good when they’re together,” a source says.

Said a witness, “They seemed really into each other … he was all over her.”

“After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die,” Phillippe has admitted. “I was ready to kill myself.”

I’m not sure how sincere Phillippe is.  Maybe he did feel that terrible, but he was also the one who had the affair in the first place.

Reese Witherspoon and boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal have recently moved in together.

I think Jake is probably a much better match for Reese anyway.  It just makes more sense to me that they are together.  I guess things always have a way of working themselves out in the end.

It looks like Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoonare taking their relationship to the next level by moving in together.  I kind of assumed they were co-habitating already, just unofficially.  As in, they both have homes of their own, but are always together.  Anyway, I really like these two together. 

Jake Gyllenhaal is ever the gentleman! He and girlfriend Reese Witherspoon go for a stroll in Santa Monica. The couple did a little shopping and had lunch at Three Square Café in Venice Beach. On Friday night, they attended a cocktail party for country singer Ryan Bingham.

Reese and Jake are one of our favorite Hollywood couples. We hope they stay together!

Days after he told Howard Stern that Jake Gyllenhaal is “a good dude”, Ryan Phillippe admits he avoids looking at photos of his ex Reese Witherspoon and the hunky actor in magazines.

“It’s bizarre,” the Stop-Loss star, 33, tells USA Today. “There’s plenty of times when I say, ‘What a strange situation I’ve found myself in.’ But at a certain point you know it’s going to happen, so you are prepared in some fashion.”

Phillippe — who dated co-star Abbie Cornish around the time of his 2006 split from Witherspoon — was mum when it came to talking about his own love life.

“It’s just something I would really rather not address,” he says. “It has to be a ‘no comment.’ ”

But he says he is open to walking down the aisle again one day.

Ryan Phillippe wishes ex-wife Reese Witherspoon happiness with her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

“He’s a good dude,” Phillippe said on The Howard Stern Show Thursday. “I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.”

Phillippe described his 2007 divorce from Witherspoon as a “mutual” decision.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal spent an afternoon at the farmers market in Pacific Palisades, Calif. During their trip, the pair picked up fresh fruit and even a bouquet of flowers.

The shocking death of Heath Ledger has been especially tough on his BrokeBack Mountain star and close friend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Gyllenhaal, who is godfather to Ledger’s two-year-old daughter Matilda, has been devastated by last week’s news. Says one Gyllenhaal friend, “Jake is taking this harder than most people.”

Nowhere is that more apparent than on the New Mexico set of Gyllenhaal’s latest movie, Brothers.

“This has had a strong personal effect on [Jake],” says a set source. The insider adds that Gyllenhaal left the set immediately after learning of Ledger’s Jan. 22 death – but he flew back on a commercial flight to shoot an additional scene on Thursday.

“He was there, but he wasn’t with us. It was obviously a major trauma,” says the movie source. “These guys were very close. [Jake] was sitting in the director’s chair staring off into space.”

Gyllenhaal has been off since shooting that scene, and was photographed Saturday looking subdued with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon in Los Angeles. Set sources say director Jim Sheridan is shooting around the grieving actor during his personal leave.

The 27-year-old’s somber mood is a sharp contrast to the happier times on the set of Brothers. During one intense early prison scene, Gyllenhaal jokingly reached into his pocket and took out a picture of his Brokeback beau to stick on the prison wall. “Like those prisoners put [loved ones] on the wall, but Jake’s was Heath Ledger,” one set source recalls. “That was hilarious. It was a nice moment.”

The source adds, “When you think back on it now, it’s touching.” 

We hope Jake takes all of the time that he needs to deal with Heath’s loss.  What a painful, sad tragedy.

Jake Gyllenhaal has not been seen or heard from since his close pal, Heath Ledger died.  Jake is the Godfather of Matilda, Heath’s 2-year-old daughter that he had with Michelle Williams.  Jake, Michelle, and Heath were all in the movie Brokeback Mountain together.

Jake is in New Mexico filming a new movie, Brothers.  So far there are no plans to shut down Jake’s new movie, but Jake is very upset and doesn’t want to talk to the media.  The set is closed to non-crew members and extra security has been hired for Jake.
