With her July due date drawing closer, Jamie Lynn Spears celebrated her baby shower over the weekend — and, yes, big sister Britney Spears was there.

On Saturday afternoon, Jamie Lynn’s family and friends gathered at Serenity — the Kentwood, La. estate belonging to Lynne Spears (which Britney purchased) — to fete the 17-year-old mother-to-be. The low-key affair took place in the guest house, where the simple menu included cold cuts, juice and champagne.

“It wasn’t anything fancy or exciting,” a source says. “No big spread or fancy decorations. Just everybody sitting around and talking with each other.”

Mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears (pictured here with baby daddy Casey Aldridge) is terrified of giving birth, and her mom, Lynne, isn’t making things any easier.

A source says that when the Spears family matriarch showed her seven-months-pregnant 17-year-old daughter a video of a real natural childbirth, Jamie Lynn threw up!

“Lynne was trying to be helpful,” a source says. “She wanted to show Jamie Lynn what a woman goes through giving birth, that it’s a natural and beautiful thing, but all Jamie Lynn saw was the blood — or ‘goop,’ as she called it — the screaming and the pain. It was too graphic for her. She flipped out and literally got sick.”

Now Jamie Lynn is totally freaked out. “She is wondering if a C-section is possible,” the source adds. “She wants to be knocked out and then wake up when it’s all over.”

She’s 17 and didn’t know what happens during childbirth? Ugh.

Jamie Lynn Spears is starting to show some baby weight on her body. In these pictures, Jamie Lynn is wearing an engagement ring and she is unloading a pink baby item from her trunk, so she might be having a girl as previous rumors have suggested. Notice how her hairstyle is in a really high messy ponytail, the same way that Britney used to do her hair. Oh no!

Jamie Lynn Spears is spreading her acting wings! The pregnant teen, best known for her role on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 is set to appear on the March 20 episode of the new ABC series Miss/Guided.

According to reports, the mommy-to-be will play a high school girl named Mandy who has just been accepted to a college. Guess what she’s playing? The school slut! Imagine that. Spears’ character, Mandy, spends the first 30 seconds of the episode making out with her boyfriend in the backseat of a car, E! New snitches reveal.

But before Mandy heads off to the dorms, she meets Ashton Kutcher who plays a substitute Spanish teacher who tries to convince her otherwise. (more…)

Out of the spotlight after revealing her pregnancy, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is moving ahead with her life, passing her GED and thinking about college.

The Zoey 101 star passed her high school equivalency exam about a month ago – scoring particularly well on reading comprehension – and is looking to take the ACT college entrance test, a friend says.

College? She’s going to go to college and raise her baby? That seems like a little too much for the 16-year-old to handle. Her friends disagree. (more…)

Jamie Lynn Spears‘ frantic mother jetted across country to be by her daughter’s side after the teenage TV star screamed through the phone, “I’m not pregnant!”

Mama Lynne had been staying in Los Angeles to cope with elder daughter Britney’s mental crisis, leaving Jamie Lynn at Serenity, her estate in Kentwood, La.

“Jamie Lynn has been wrapping two-inch-wide Ace bandages tightly around her stomach to hide her bump,” a magazine is reporting.

The teen mom-to-be is in such denial about her condition, another source says, that she’s “trying to go about her life as she always did. She still hangs out until late at night and eats junk food.”

Jamie Lynn isn’t used to her new shape yet and feels enormous, even though her bump is barely showing.

“A male friend joked at a party that she looked sexier with her new curves, and Jamie Lynn snapped back, ‘Shut up!’ She then turned to another friend and said, ‘I hate my body!’” another source says.

Despite temperatures in Kentwood reaching into the 70s, Jamie Lynn has been out wearing heavy sweatshirts.

“Jamie Lynn is having severe bodyimage issues,” adds the insider. “For the past few years, she’s been this cute little TV star. Now she sees herself ballooning — and she can’t handle it.”

She’s just 16, but Jamie Lynn Spears already has a reputation for hard drinking in her hometown.

And the pregnant teen has accepted she may never return to her glam life in Hollywood. Instead she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge have decided to keep the baby — and even buy a double-wide trailer to start their lives together.

Star has also learned the Zoey 101 star has often cheated on Casey, the 18-year-old she has identified as the father of her child. “I know for a fact that Casey was not the first guy she slept with — or the last,” says one fellow teen in Kentwood, La. “There were at least two others. I know that 110 percent.”

Another friend says that before her pregnancy Jamie Lynn partied hard but always in private. “Some people drink to have a good time. But she drank to get wrecked. She drank to get messed up and forget about her mother, her sister and all of that.”

Just days before announcing her pregnancy in December, Jamie Lynn shocked a boy at a party by asking him for sex. “It’s cool, I’m pregnant,” she said. “I can’t get pregnant again!”

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears made a rare appearance in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Hiding her bump in a baggy hooded-sweatshirt, the Zoey 101 star, took her black and white puppy to the veterinarian Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday, Spears went out with her beau, Casey Aldridge, the father of her baby.

Hand-in-hand, they went to a convenience store Saturday. Spears sported a white Heineken beer T-shirt that showed the faintest hint of her growing stomach.

The next day, Spears and Aldridge ran errands, stopping to kiss every now and then.  It seems that the couple is still together despite reports that they have broken up.

Her dad is currently in Beverly Hills looking after older sis Britney.

Jamie Lynn Spears, the pregnant Zoey 101 star and 16-year-old sister of Britney Spears, is going to give her baby to her mother, Lynn to raise. Jamie has decided that she wants to keep working. She also wants to keep being a teenager; she is only 16.

Lynn probably wants Jamie to keep being the bread-winner for the family. Lynn sold Jamie’s pregnancy announcement and interview to OK magazine for reportedly $1 million. Wonder how much those first baby pictures will be worth.
