Sheryl Crow, who a close pal of Jennifer Aniston, recently mouthed off about Jennifer’s three-year-old split from Brad Pitt. Sheryl was comparing the media coverage in that breakup to the coverage of her own split from bicyclist Lance Armstrong. She claims that both she and Aniston dumped their men, but the media says it was the other way around.
Sheryl Crow has claimed that Jennifer Aniston dumped Brad Pitt rather than the other way around.
The couple split in 2005 after five years of marriage amid rumours that Pitt had fallen for Angelina Jolie on the set of their movie Mr and Mrs Smith.
However, Crow said she learned the truth when she became friends with Aniston after the actress ditched Pitt and she split from cyclist Lance Armstrong.
She said: “For both of us, the perceived idea is that, in our big relationships, we both got dumped. Believe me, this is not true. Neither one of us has ever gotten dumped. No one ever knows what goes on in relationships.
“Unfortunately, for some people like Jennifer and me, so much is written about things that you don’t say, and so many emotions are attributed to you that you haven’t had.”
A friend also insisted that Aniston had called time on the marriage, telling the National Enquirer: “Once Jen saw the writing on the wall, she dumped Brad.
“She took a cold, hard look at her marriage and realised it was irretrievably broken. She and Brad had vastly different personal agendas and feelings about love, career and having a family.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were scheduled to have their very first run-in with Jennifer Aniston at the Night Before party at the Beverly Hills Hotel Saturday night.
However, Jolie backed out of going to the bash only hours before. Jolie told the January 2007 issue of Vogue that she was open to meeting with Aniston. “That would be her decision, and I would welcome it,” she said.
Aniston, a confidant tells the new issue of Us Weekly, thought it was “the perfect chance” encounter for closure. “She said the stress of having to avoid them was more painful than seeing them.”
Remember, Jolie had been keeping people guessing about her pregnancy, but decided to debut her massive baby bump the night before the scheduled Aniston meeting in a tight black dress at the Film Independent’s Spirit Awards.
Jolie is possibly “being either very Machiavellian or very passive-aggressive,” Robert Greene, the author of The 48 Laws of Power tells Us Weekly.
“If Angelina is trying to get under Jen’s skin – push her buttons – this is a clever way to do it,” Greene adds.
“Imagine you’re in Jen’s shoes,” he says. “You’re worried about Angelina showing up. And she never does. It’s infuriating. If intentional, it’s definitely a power move.”
So stealing Brad Pitt wasn’t enough for Angelina? Us Weekly seems to be saying that Jolie wants to keep some sort of power over the situation. Not healthy.

Jennifer Aniston is reportedly romancing her latest co-star, Aaron Eckhart.
Aww! We really like both of these actors!
Jennifer and Aaron are said to have become inseparable when they were filming Traveling together in Vancouver, Canada.
A source said: “They’re getting along so great that everyone on the set is convinced they are more than just friends. They’re just so in sync all the time.”
‘Erin Brokovich’ star Aaron - who recently split from his long-term girlfriend Ashley Wicks - reportedly put Jennifer forward for the role.
The source added to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “Jen’s entire reason for doing this movie was Aaron. She’s wanted to work with him for years and was completely flattered that she was his first choice to be the leading lady in this movie.”
The pair are keen to keep their budding romance a secret.
The source said: “I think the fact that both of them have been single for a couple of months is contributing to the chemistry they have on this film, even when they aren’t shooting. They genuinely enjoy each other’s company.
“But if they’re actually hooking up, they’re doing it as quietly as possible.”
Since splitting from husband Brad Pitt in January 2005, Jennifer has dated Vince Vaughn and been romantically linked to model Paul Sculfor and actor Jason Lewis.
Could it be love? We hope so!

Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie are among the A-list hosts of this year’s Night Before pre-Oscar bash.
The press-free charity event promises to be the first time Aniston and Jolie have met since Pitt left Aniston in 2005 and started a family with Jolie a short time later.
“Jen wants to go but knows it would be a disaster waiting to happen,” an Aniston insider reveals.
A source says that Aniston will be at the event as long as her filming schedule allows. The minimum entrance fee is $25,000 for four tickets, with proceeds benefiting the Motion Picture and Television Fund.
Just three years ago, the same party served as a backdrop for Aniston and Pitt’s last public appearance together. Fresh off the announcement of their split, the duo worked the crowd side by side all night.
Adding to the pressure: Jolie, who has said in the past she’d “welcome” a meeting with Aniston, will be receiving congratulations for her pregnancy.
But Aniston seems ready. “She told me avoiding Brad and Angelina is more painful than seeing them,” a pal says.
A Pitt source says that his attendance will be decided at the last minute, but it is traditional for all hosts of the party to attend.

All work and no play? Not exactly. But Jennifer Aniston spent her 39th birthday toiling away on the Vancouver set of her upcoming romantic drama, Traveling.
Still, the actress did receive a special treat from her cast and crew on Monday. They surprised the Birthday Girl with a “giant ice cream cake,” says a source. “The crew all gathered around and sang a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday.’ [There were] hugs and kisses for everyone, from everyone.”
Good wishes also poured in from far-away friends, as several large flower arrangements were also delivered to her trailer.
Two days earlier, Aniston had a chance really to cut loose, when she and 20 friends – including Traveling director Brandon Camp – took over the private room of Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill for a lively dinner party.
“Everyone ordered so many dishes,” an observer says of the group, which tucked in to the restaurant’s signature “Cucina Naturale” cuisine (emphasizing fresh ingredients while minimizing the use of animal fats and creams). “They tried everything. They were just having such a good time.”
As the meal wound down, the restaurant presented Aniston with a custom-made birthday cake. “When it was wheeled out from the kitchen by several staff, everyone started to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Jennifer, including people from the kitchen,” says the witness. “Jennifer looked a little surprised, but it was her birthday party, after all.”
As the party played on until 2:30 a.m., “she had a big smile,” says the onlooker. “She had a really good time with all of her friends – and seemingly didn’t want the evening to end.”

According to an Aniston source, “‘When she came back from Los Cabos after ringing in the New Year with Jason, she looked happier than I’ve seen her for months.” The source went on to add, “She’s been thinking of a switch to the east coast for a while and, now she’s with Jason who is based there, she feels the time has never been more right to make the break from the claustrophobia in LA.”
