Rest easy, Johnny Depp fans. He’s not dead!
Depp was faux-killed in France after a car crash late Saturday, sending bloggers into a fact-finding tizzy, and fans tweeting “RIP Johnny Depp” right into a Twitter trending topic.
However, Depp is alive and well, and was not involved in an accident of any kind.
“He isn’t dead,” Depp’s rep, Robin Baum says. “He’s fine.”
Depp has been linked to several death rumors in the past, the most recent elaborate hoax using images of a hodgepodge of wrecked vehicles, and even a fake CNN website confirming the news.

Last night at the People’s Choice Awards Johnny Depp was honored by being named Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade.
“The only reason that any of us are up here is because of you,” he told fans after accepting the award. “It has been quite an amazing decade and an incredible ride, and I sincerely thank all of you for bestowing on me all your great treasures.”
The recipient of the award is determined by an online poll. In the past 10 years Depp has received more votes for Favorite Actor than anyone else, which determined that he was the Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade.
We always like hearing stories of celebrities who are generous.
While Johnny Depp was in Chicago promoting his latest movie “Public Enemies” (opening in theaters July 1st), laid down a $4,000 tip on a $4,400 bill at Chicago eatery Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse last Thursday.
Mohammed A. Sekhani, aka Mo, who is known as “the waiter to the stars” because they all love to sit in his section, says “Depp hosted a party of 15 people, including Mann and Cotillard, and the tip was split 12 ways.”
He also said, “Depp is the finest of all the stars I have ever waited on. And he is a true icon, and his ability to respect others is phenomenal. He loves Chicago, and Chicago loves him. Depp is one cool and generous dude.”

Captain Jack is back!
Johnny Depp will star as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, it has been confirmed.
The Disney trilogy, based on a ride at the company’s theme parks, has grossed an amazing $2.6 billion at the box office, in no small part thanks to Depp’s turn as the unorthodox Captain Jack.
Depp will also star as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s take on Alice in Wonderland as well as taking the role of Tonto in a cinematic version of The Lone Ranger, Variety reports.
Johnny Depp is going to be quite busy the next couple of years!
Can’t wait to see him on screen again!

Here’s EVA LONGORIA enjoying an popsicle at a zoo in San Diego.
Her character in Desperate Housewives has got a bit of a big mouth on her.
But this is just unbelievable.
Hopefully for Eva, her popsicle eating skills might impress JOHNNY DEPP.
She recently revealed that the Pirates of the Caribbean star is her ideal leading man.
Although she said it would be “dream” to star alongside the “beautiful” actor, Eva admitted she would probably be “too nervous” to talk to him.
After seeing this pic, Johnny might be nervous around her…

Our friends over at YourMovieStuff.com are reporting the JohnnyDepp is being asked to finish Heath Ledger last film.
Heath Ledger was six weeks away from finishing the fantasy flick The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Director Terry Gilliam is asking his pal, Johnny Depp to film the remaining scenes. A studio source said: “There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror. He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.
“It’s a weird, fantasy, time-travel movie so Heath’s character could easily change appearance. It would be a poignant moment.
“Johnny’s not working at the moment so everyone is praying he will do it.”
Currently, production is shut down for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
