Beyonce is breaking her silence about Kanye West storming the stage at the VMAs to declare that she should have won Best Female Video instead of Taylor Swift.

“Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award,’” Beyonce, 28, told O: The Oprah magazine editor at large Gayle King at the Billboard Awards over the weekend, when Beyonce was named Woman of the Year.

“When they didn’t call my name, he was, like, completely shocked,” Knowles says. “And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’”

Knowles, who handed the mic over to Swift after winning Video of the Year later that night, goes on, “But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment, and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

After his outburst, West, 32, apologized multiple times on his blog, to Jay Leno and to Swift — and declared he was taking time away from the public eye to “analyze how I’m gonna make it through the rest of this life and improve.”

It was announced last week that West’s “Fame Kills” tour with Lady Gaga had been canceled.

What do you think about Beyonce’s comments about Kanye? Beyonce’s husband, Jay Z, is responsible for Kanye’s career so we’re not surprised that she seems to be acting really sympathetic, but saying he was defending art doesn’t really hold water with us.

Despite public promises to reach out to Taylor Swift after he crashed her awards show moment, Kanye West still hadn’t made a personal apology to the teen singer by Tuesday morning. He picked up the phone however after Swift revealed on national television that the rapper had still not made good on his promise.

“No. He hasn’t personally reached out,” Swift told the women of The View. “I was not gonna say I wasn’t rattled by it. But I had to perform fifteen minutes later so I had to get myself in that place to play. There were great people backstage. It was really wonderful.”

Whoopi Goldberg was candid about her feelings of West’s lack of remorse and stared the camera down saying, “Hopefully Kanye is watching. He’ll know what to do.”

A rep for the show confirmed West called Swift soon after she finished taping her interview to apologize. Always gracious, the country crooner accepted.

Taylor Swift was a guest on The View this morning and the singer spoke about what she was thinking when Kanye West took the mic from her during her VMA acceptance speech to say that Beyonce had the best video of all time.

Swift, 19, said, “I think my overall thought process went something like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe I won. This is awesome. Don’t trip and fall. I’m going to get to thank the fans. This is so cool. Oh, Kanye West is here! Cool haircut.’” Then as he spoke – telling audiences that Beyonce deserved to win – Swift said she thought, “‘What are you doing there? … Ouch.’ And then, ‘I guess I’m not gonna get to thank the fans.”

“I’m not going to say that I wasn’t rattled by it,” said Swift on The View, “but I had to perform live five minutes later so I had get myself back to the place where I could perform.”

Swift said that while she would accept a face-to-face apology from the rapper – “Sure!” – he has made no effort to get in touch with her.

“He has not personally reached out or anything,” she said, “but if he wanted to say hi…”

As for West, 32, he told Jay Leno Monday night that he’s taking “some time off” to figure out the reasons behind his behavior.

“I am a celebrity and that’s just something I’m going to have to deal with,” he said.

Hey Kanye, maybe try thinking of yourself as a person with issues instead of just in terms of your celebrity. Your celebrity and sense of entitlement made you think you were in the right to disrespect a young woman who has worked her tail off to get where she is. And instead of three public apologies, one private one to Taylor would have been the right thing to do.

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

The absolutely lovely Taylor Swift responds to the Kanye West incident.

“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award,” she began. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.”

“I’ve been getting so many text messages and everybody’s been really nice. So I’ve had a really, really fun night. It’s been interesting definitely. It’s definitely been an interesting night.”

Wise beyond her years, Swift took the high road when talking about Kanye.

“I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him, so…” she said. “I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”

At the MTV Video Music Awards last night, Kanye West rudely interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video to tell the world that Beyonce deserved to win.

Kanye is a 32-year-old man and he bullied a 19-year-old young woman. What a man you are, Kanye. A little, little man.

According to MTV News:

The rapper stormed the stage just after the first award, for Best Female Video, was presented to Taylor Swift. He cut the teen singer off, grabbing the mic and protesting in support of Beyoncé.

“I’m sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time,” he proclaimed as Beyoncé looked on from the crowd, stunned.

His protest against Swift, however, was not well received. West stood briefly on the stage after his comments as the crowd was silent. Audience members then began to clap in support of Swift after West left the stage.

According to reports from inside the house, once cameras cut away from the action, West flipped off the crowd and returned to his seat.

Jerry Seinfeld, who next stars in the new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” will be the first guest to drop by “The Jay Leno Show” when it makes its prime-time debut on Sept. 14.

NBC announced Friday that Seinfeld will be Jay Leno’s first and only guest for the premiere. The two are longtime friends and Leno has referred to Seinfeld in the press as someone he consulted with while deciding whether to accept NBC’s offer to launch a new 10 p.m. nightly vehicle.

During the TCA press tour, Leno said he’d have only one guest per episode — two max — on his new show, and no desk. He also revealed that “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams would pop up for bits regularly, as would a team of correspondents, including comics D.L. Hughley and Mikey Day.

Previously announced musical guests for Leno’s premiere include Kanye West, Jay Z and Rihanna.

Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned celebrity feud? Animal lover, Pink was irritated by some of Kanye West’s comments at a recent fashion show that they both attended.

“I was at STELLA McCARTNEY’s Paris fashion show with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PAUL McCARTNEY and Kanye West.
“The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show’. He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney! I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’

We’re no experts, but our impression was, “Look at my girlfriend’s fine butt-crack, and this damn fine black shoe.”

We’re guessing Kanye’s blog about this ad might read something like, “BUY MY DAMN SHOES. THEY ARE THE SICKEST SHOES ON THE PLANET BECAUSE THEY ARE MINE. BEST BEST BEST ME MINE BEST…”

I think that captures Kanye’s usual blog message and we didn’t forget his signature all caps style.

The creators of South Park made fun of Kanye West’s giant ego in an episode entitled, “Fishsticks.” West, with his hugely successful music career is as well-known for his over-the-top rants and temper tantrums as he is for his songs.

West claims to have seen the error of his ways. In his official blog, he writes (in all caps, as usual):

Kanye seems to actually be acting gracious. But wait a minute. Turns out Kanye just happens to also have some new marketing deals in the works.

This week alone he has signed on to create a personal fragrance and a Kanye-branded energy drink. He also released his own Nike shoe, the Air Yeezy, last weekend to hoards of sneaker fans across the country. So the South Park episode aired just as he was hawking his shoes? Was this part of his master plan? Did he know? Did he just get the last laugh on South Park? Conspiracy!
