The very public, six-month relationship between actress Kate Hudson, 30, and Yankee baseball player Alexander “A-Rod” Rodriguez, 34, has come to an end.

So who ended it?

An A-Rod pal insists that “he broke up with her over a week ago,” but they continued to spend time together publicly after the fact. “Alex wanted to end this relationship well over a month ago,” the source says, but A-Rod didn’t want to disrupt Hudson’s premieres and promotional events for her new film Nine. “He felt that would be counterproductive and unfair to her.”

What went wrong?

“[Hudson] wanted more camera time each and every game,” the pal says. “She would always want to be styled before games and she’d insist on front-row seats.” Her motivation, the friend says, was more of a PR move than genuine devotion. “It was a turnoff to have a girlfriend who always wanted to be on camera,” the source quips. “Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile.”

So we’re guessing that Hudson won’t be dating a regular guy after this split. Maybe she’ll get back with Owen Wilson or Lance Armstrong. However, she sounds like a perfect match for fellow attention whore John Mayer. Between those two, they’ve dated all of Hollywood.

According to A-Rod’s friend, Hudson kept a close eye on her baseball player. “She seemed compelled to track and follow his every move” during his busy pre- and post-season schedule.”

The pal says that Hudson tried to give Rodriguez “an ultimatum” and to “fast track” the relationship. “He’s just coming off of a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife and a recent divorce,” the friend points out. “He has two lovely children with his ex-wife, and that requires a certain amount of responsibility. She gave him ultimatums that a newly divorced father can’t meet.”

The friend says that things ended amicably. “They’re two mature adults. She did take the relationship seriously, and he has a lot of respect for her. They had some really wonderful times together.”

On what was one of the biggest moments of his career, Alex Rodriguez and girlfriend Kate Hudson were spotted out for a celebratory night on the town in New York City.

Fresh off of winning the World Series over the Philadelphia Phillies, the Yankees slugger and his actress love were also joined by his mom, Lourdes Navarro, and his sister, Suzy, as they dropped in at Club 1 Oak.

Of winning his first big league pennant, A-Rod became quite emotional during a post-game interview during the post-game festivities.

Of the effort, he said, “To see 25 guys there standing beside me, and the manager and general manager there, it meant the world to me. I thought it could be the most special season of our lives, and it has happened.”

Kate Hudson and A-Rodhave been dating for a few months now, which isn’t long by normal standards, but is almost a lifetime in terms of a fickle celebrity lovelife.

Hudson, 30, has been pressuring A-Rod to have a child with her. She already has a son, Ryder, age 5, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

A source says, “She just turned 30 and she’s ready to have her second child. She wants Ryder to have a sibling, so she brought up the idea to Alex and told him that they would make a beautiful baby together, and that she would assume all financial responsibility.”

A-Rod reportedly responded that he isn’t ready for more children right now. He has two daughters, Natasha, 4, and Ella, 16 months, with ex-wife Cynthia.

That hasn’t stopped Kate from pushing her ideas about them being a family on A-Rod. Kate has even introduced Alex to her mom, Goldie Hawn, and Goldie’s longtime partner, Kurt Russell, who accompanied her to Yankee Stadium on August 8 to watch the Yankees play the Boston Red Sox. In fact, Kate has become a regular fixture at Alex’s games.

Kate Hudson has mostly recently been messing around with Madonna’s ex, A-Rod.

Kate reportedly hid from Madonna when the two attended the Veuve Clicquot’s Manhattan Polo Classic on Saturday.

“Kate was completely intimidated by Madonna,” said one guest. “She clearly didn’t want trouble and decided to keep a low profile for the rest of the match.” Said a second guest, “I didn’t even see Kate Hudson again after Madonna arrived. She ran away! But if I were dating Madonna’s ex, I’d be scared, too!”
While Hudson hung out in the back of the tent, Madonna rocked her royal status. After showing up in a black Mercedes-Benz with several NYPD escorts, she held court with boy toy Jesus Luz, her kids Rocco Ritchie and David Banda, as well as pals Marc Jacobs, Lorenzo Martone and photographer Steven Klein.
“Madonna literally didn’t care,” said a third eyewitness.
“She showed up with no makeup, a dowdy [denim] outfit and her hair pulled up in a ponytail. She doesn’t need to compete with Kate, because she will always be Queen Bee.”

Actress Kate Hudson has been a fixture at Yankee games lately, and it’s not because of the peanuts and crackerjack or her love of the game.

Reports have placed the 33-year-old daughter of Goldie Hawn, seen here taking in the Yanks home game against the Minnesota Twins Friday, in a budding romance with the Bronx Bombers’ third baseman/ admitted steroid user/ ex-Madonna boy-toy Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.

A source told the New York Post that later that night, the pair hung out at the Mustang Grill on Second Avenue. The paper reported a restaurant employee “was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out.”

Both Rodriguez and Hudson have been regulars in the tabloids for their oft-traveled romantic ventures. In recent times, A-Rod has been linked to Madonna and Real Housewives Of New Jersey cougar Bethenny Frankel.

Hudson, since splitting with ex-husband and father of her son, Black Crow Chris Robinson, she has been linked to Owen Wilson, Lance Armstrong and Dax Shepard.

Could the 4th time be the charm for Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson?

Earlier this month we heard rumblings that Kate and Owen were getting it on again.

The fickle couple has been spotted in Paris canoodling.

Hudson was spotted on the beach in Hawaii with Australian PGA star Adam Scott, 28.

I guess she is taking another swing at love!

The golfer is considered to be one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors after splitting from long-term Swedish girlfriend Marie Kojzar last year.

The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards saw “The Dark Knight” pull off a clean sweep, raking in all five awards for which it was nominated. Held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the star-studded affair also saw performer Carrie Underwood grab three awards while Tina Fey, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Katherine Heigl, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Applegate and Robin Williams all went home winners, as well.

At 39, Owen Wilson looks good without a shirt on.  It looks like the actor is taking care of himself these days.  It looks like he has been spending some time at the gym.

If Kate Hudson sees this picture, I bet she’ll be calling him yet again!  She and Lance Armstrong recently broke up and she is never one to be without a man for very long.

After only about three months of dating, Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have called it quits.

They were both at the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend, and that’s where said breakup supposedly took place.

“There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things,” a source close to the couple says. “There is no hatred, just sadness.”

Constant bickering and their travel schedules drove them apart. Kate made a last ditch effort to salvage the relationship when she traveled to Ohio for his Livestrong Summit, but “they both decided it wasn’t feasible.”

Their whirl wind romance that spanned across the US, Europe and Canada and during which the couple bonded with each others’ children and lunched with Kate’s mom Goldie Hawn.

I wonder who Kate’s next lover will be?!

Maybe this romance is more than just a fling.
