Kathy Griffin and Kate Gosselin are totally BFF’s now.

Recently, Griffin spoofed the reality star and mother of eight for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The two met on the set of The View on Friday, when Gosselin, 34, was a guest co-host and Griffin, 48, was promoting her new book.

“Kate Gosselin is my new BFF,” Griffin said. “We had a really nice chat one-on-one.”

“I sort of forced her to go into one of the dressing rooms at The View with me and have a chit-chat,” Griffin says. “I like her! She’s easy, breezy.”

Kathy says she gave Kate advice on how to lighten up a bit.

“We talked about what she needs to have a sense of humor about, and she was very gracious,” Griffin said. “She said she watched my spoof of her online and really found herself laughing.”

Griffin admits she wasn’t “terribly surprised” she took a liking to Gosselin “because I’m more Team Kate anyway.” Griffin added that Kate’s estranged husband Jon “is such a toolbox and so clearly seems to be out of control.”

Will they get together again?

Griffin hopes so: “I gave her my phone number!”

About her struggles with her looks:

“What I can’t figure out is why I wasted time worrying about my looks. I am a comedian. I’m not on the runway in Milan,” says Griffin…”Believe it or not, people don’t come to see me really thinking I’m going to look like Jennifer Aniston.”

About getting a nose job in her 20’s when she first got to Hollywood:

“I was told repeatedly, ‘You would be pretty if it weren’t for that nose. You’d work more if it weren’t for that nose. Hey have you considered getting a nose job?’ You would think I had a nose the size of Texas. I was young and impressionable and I was told that enough that I started to believe it, so I got a nose job.”

Kathy tried to lose weight by taking pills and then eventually had lipo, which was nearly fatal.

“I am very proud of my two weeks on speed,” she jokes. “It was full-on illegal speed. I took it to lose weight, which is not very smart.” The result: “I just felt three times as hungry afterward,” she says.

Opening up about the experience, and showing never before scene post-surgical pictures in her book, “is embarrassing,” Griffin says. Still, she says, “I want women to know that this is what lipo looks like. Like, are you sure you don’t want to just work out a little more?”

Today, Kathy is healthy and at her slimmest — 115 pounds on her 5′3″ frame.

“Staying in shape is a struggle. I struggle with it every day. I just came from a very healthy lunch but the whole time I was having the healthy lunch I wished I was having cupcakes,” she says. “It’s not a simple thing. I have to watch what I eat and I have to work out quite a bit.”

As for getting into bikini-ready shape, “The funny thing is the lipo, which was more than 10 years ago, has nothing to do with it,” says Griffin. “I actually got into fairly good shape from yawn: diet and exercise.”

Infamous two-time Emmy awards winner, Kathy Griffin is set to hostthe 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

The show’s veteran producer Spike Jones Jr. says, “We’re thrilled as Kathy’s the first Emmy winner to host the Creative Arts show. She stole the show the last two years, so now, we’re giving her the opportunity to officially hijack it. We’re all very, very excited. And just a little bit scared.”

Kathy has jokingly called the award show the “Schmemmys” in the past as it is separated from the Emmys that everyone typically watches.

The 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will air as a two-hour special on the E! Entertainment Television. We can’t wait to tune in to hear what Kathy will say!

Who knew Kathy Griffin had a bangin’ bikini body?

The funny lady shows off her assets in the latest issue of OK! magazine.

At 5-foot-3-inches tall, the 48-year old comedian weighs only 118 pounds.

So what is her secret to looking so good?

“I work out five days a week for an hour to an hour and a half, and my personal trainer comes to the house… I need to have my ass kicked,” Kathy reveals.

In the past, Kathy has openly discussed having a little work done, but says she hasn’t done so recently.

“Not since 2003 when I had a face-lift,” says Kath. “My breasts are very real and very floppy. Why have surgery when you could just get a good freaking bra?”

Right on, honey!

Kathy Griffin teamed up with Paris Hilton to shoot some scenes for “My Life on the D List,” Griffin’s hit show on Bravo.

The pair caused quite a stir as they went shopping at the Kitson store on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills.

Both wore teal and pink, and Griffin showed the cameras and Paris her matching teal panties as well!

“My Life on the D List” star Kathy Griffin says that she will never have plastic surgery again.  The refreshingly honest star is also talking about all of the work that she’s had done in the past.

“I’ve been off the junk, as I call it, for five years,” she says in the September issue of Fitness. “I’ve had face lift, eye job and all that stuff five years ago.

“What I found, though, was that it didn’t help me one bit,” Griffin says. “It didn’t get me happier or didn’t make me look particularly younger.”

The Emmy-winning comedienne says she always thought she needed surgery to land work.

“I really thought ageism is so prevalent in Hollywood, especially in standup — it’s such a male dominated zone,” she says. “I thought, ‘Dammit, I got to do everything I can to look my best.’”

She says she later learned aging “is not really going to keep you from what you want.

“For example, if you work in an office, you’re probably going to do the same job if you’re 10 pounds heavier or lighter,” Griffin goes on. “I’m not talking about anorexia or obesity — those are obviously two different animals.

“But I spent 20 years of my life obsessing about 10, 15 pounds, and what I found as a comedian … is that nobody expected me to come out in a bikini anyway,” she says. “I’ve never lost a job because of my weight, and I’ve certainly never gotten a job because of my cosmetic surgery or my weight.”

She says she has come to accept her body over the years.

“I’ll say to my younger friends, ‘C’mon, I have a hot body, right?’ I mean, not a hot body Hollywood-style… but it’s hot for 47.

“So that’s my new thing — I like my body now,” Griffin adds. “For 47, it’s pretty darn good.

I think she looks just fine!

Kathy Griffin and inventor of the computer and Apple co-founder, billionaire Steve Wozniak are no longer dating.

“He is an awesome guy, but I have to say he is in the friends category now,” says Griffin. “As a matter of fact, I got an email last week from him, and he is going to marry someone else… I think he might be married. I don’t really know that for sure, though.”

Aww! We liked them as a couple. Too bad!
