After finding out that ex Brody Jenner wasted no time rebounding, Lauren Conrad calls him “scum” in French, which she then translates for pal Whitney Port. We’ve been rooting for Lauren to get a backbone, maybe this season The Hills will show her standing her ground.

Maybe not. Conrad, according to a review in the New York Times, spends a good part of the new Hills season “pining for Brody.” The paper’s critic says Conrad “could learn from [Heidi Montag] right now,” who “has emerged as a kind of feminist hero” for “her groundswell of self-assertion.”

Lauren could learn something from Heidi?! Wow! I bet she doesn’t want to hear that!

Lauren Conrad graces the latest cover of Us Weekly. Judging by the cover, Lauren wants us to feel sorry for her — again. The article will likely summarize how much Lauren Conrad has been a doormat over the past couple of years. Boyfriend Jason Wahler cheated on her, Heidi chose slimeball boyfriend Spencer over her and then the two spread sex tape rumors about Lauren, and the latest is that her roommate Audrina rekindles her friendship with Heidi and (surprise!) Lauren’s love interest Brody Jenner (they’re just friends…sort of) starts romancing another girl almost immediately after Lauren leaves Los Angeles for a trip to Paris.

“At this point, I have to question every person that wants to have a relationship with me, whether it’s a friendship or a romantic relationship,” she says.

“Audrina has to remind me that she’s not someone who’s going to betray me,” Conrad, 22, says pointedly.

As for Jenner’s rebound, she says, “When you have that type of thing, you always have to question, ‘Why wasn’t I good enough?’”

“It’s disappointing to have to question relationships,” she adds.

Lauren Conrad makes waves on the runway after debuting her fall collection at Smashbox Studios in Culver City, Calif., as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

“I wanted to stick to my California roots,” the Hills star said before the show. “It’s a great time because I get to take all of my months and months of work and display it for everyone and celebrate what I did. It’s where the work pays off.”

Ex-fling Brody Jenner and ex-foe Kristin Cavallari sat alongside Lauren “Lo” Bosworth, Audrina Patridge and Frankie Delgado in the front row as the Hills star, 22, presented her collection during L.A. Fashion Week.

“Me and Lauren have been cool for a long time, and I’m really proud of her and wanted to support her today,” said Cavallari, 21, who clashed with Conrad during their Laguna Beach days after both romanced Stephen Colletti.

Conrad’s on-and-off beau Jenner — who began dating a girl two days after Conrad left for Paris, according to a new Hills clip — said he thought her show “was amazing.

“Everything’s going good,” he replied when asked how his relationship with Conrad was.

Lauren Conrad has a new house and new puppy!

The Hills star, 22, writes on her MySpace blog:

“Last weekend, Lo (Lauren “Lo” Bosworth), Audrina and I moved into our new house. We love it!”

(The new roomies have been busy decorating: On Friday, they bought three shopping bags worth of merchandise at Crate and Barrel in The Grove shopping center in L.A.)

Conrad, who states on her blog her current mood is “tired,” continues: “On Monday, I got a puppy from the pound. She is the cutest puppy ever! Her name is Chloe. She is a lab/shepherd mix.

“I’m not getting much sleep because she thinks nighttime is play time! Ashes (my cat) is not thrilled with her, but I think they will become friends.”

The Hills returns to MTV March 24.

Lauren Conrad kept on her clubbing spree on Valentine’s Day, hitting Hollywood hotspot Goa with pal Audrina Patridge.

“I think every single girl dreads Valentine’s Day,” Conrad declares. “[Audrina and I] will probably make it fun.”

Throughout the night, Conrad sipped on champagne — “she always seemed to have a glass in her hand,” says a clubgoer — and sang along to Britney Spears‘ “Piece of Me.”

Adds the clubgoer: “They seemed happy and excited to have a girls night.”

The Hills stars called it a night around 1:54 a.m.

Conrad was recently linked to ex Stephen Colletti, but says, “We’re just friends.”

Teen Vogue is saying that they did not fire Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port.

“I just thought it was time for them to try something new,” Editor-In-Chief Amy Astley  says.  “An internship is a short thing, and I just felt it was time for them to move on a little bit.”

Magazines have been reporting that Teen Vogue wanted to part ways with the two party girls because of the image that the girls were conveying on-camera.  The clubbing, making out with various guys, and the feuding could have tarnished the magazine’s reputation.  Teen Vogue is targeted towards a younger population and Lauren and Whitney were not portraying a very clean image.

Lisa Love, editor at Teen Vogue says, “They were great interns in the beginning and then it’s time for interns to go some place else, right?”

Do we detect that Teen Vogue was less than thrilled with having the girls on after the first season?

That could explain Lauren Conrad’s departure from Teen Vogue.  However, last year Whitney interviewed for and was granted an actual job at the magazine, so she was not an intern anymore.  So what happened to Whitney’s job?  Something sounds fishy to us.

Lauren Conrad turned 22 this week.  The Hills star was out celebrating with her girlfriends.

Conrad celebrated with a predominantly female party posse at Hollywood’s Katsuya. But it wasn’t all play for the reality TV star.

Crew members arrived almost an hour before Conrad’s 9:45 p.m. appearance at the venue to smooth out technical issues and set up shots — and not the kind served in small glasses.

When the guests arrived — including Lauren’s Hills pals Lauren ‘Lo’ Bosworth and Whitney Port — they were all wearing party hats, and kept them on as they nibbled on edamame, spicy tuna and birthday cake.

“The group toasted Conrad’s birthday during their meal and couldn’t have looked happier,” says one eye-witness. Conrad, who sipped a watermelon-cucumber mojito “was chatting with all of her friends and smiling.”

After cake was served, the party dispersed and The Hills gals worked some set-ups with the crew for the show’s new season.

Brody Jenner has a new girlfriend, Cora Skinner. Jenner says that she has met his parents, but he doesn’t plan on introducing her to the camera crew on The Hills anytime soon.

“She’s met the parents. She’s part of the family. But no, she’s not on the show,” says Jenner, 24.

“I’m choosing to keep her away from being on The Hills because that would bring a lot of conflict [and] drama to the relationship concerning me and Lauren [Conrad].”

Conrad, who turns 22 Feb. 1, was the last gal pal to receive an enthusiastic thumbs up from Jenner parents, Olympic star Bruce Jenner and his wife Kris Kardashian. And despite any possibility of a reality show conflict, Jenner conceded, “[Skinner] may do a little guest appearance.”

However, Skinner is a  22-year-old model and no stranger to the camera, having appeared in Maxim, Playboy’s lingerie catalog, and on CSI: Miami.  Camera shots aren’t the kind that interests Jenner. “My family comes from the South. And I love a girl who can hold a shot gun,” he said of the pair’s skeet shooting outings. “I don’t know what it is. But a girl that can hold a shotgun well … that turns me on.”

OK Brody, but when we see a picture of your beautiful girlfriend we don’t see her as being the type to tote a shotgun or pose for the NRA.

Brody should bring Cora on The Hills.  Lauren would be fine with it.  She has been getting cozy again with high school flame Stephen Colletti.

Thursday night, they hit up the LA Kings vs the Anaheim Ducks hockey game at the Staples Center.  It doesn’t seem like Lauren is sitting at home and crying over you, Brody.  Get over yourself.
