Camila Alves, the girlfriend/baby mama of Matthew McConaughey, has banned him from having sex with her for 40 days.

“Where I come from – Brazil – we believe in something we call a 40-day break after the baby. You have to let your body do its own thing. You give it time to recover and let everything settle down.

“You kind of respect all the hard work your body has just done and give it a break. For these 40 days, you really take it easy. By that I mean no sex, light and healthy food, no trips to the gym. Then, after 40 days, you are good to go.”

“I confess, I am getting a little anxious to work out. I miss it. Not just to get my body back in shape, but for me, for my head!”

Camila gave birth to the couple’s second child, daughter Vida, three weeks ago, so they are 21 days into sex ban.

Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend/baby mama, Camila Alves wants a contract and a financial agreement (we’re guessing this is because they are not married, and do not seem to be heading down the aisle).

“Camila’s mother is very traditional, and she’s worried that since they are not married, Matthew could leave her daughter high and dry with two kids if he falls out of love with her,” a source said.

Adding the source says, “She’s been telling Cam that she needs to force Matthew into a financial agreement, but when Cam brought it up, Matthew exploded. He said, ‘I’ll always take care of our babies — and you!’”

The couple have two kids together, son Levi, age 1, and daughter Vida, born January 3, 2010, and if reports are true, Matthew may have to agree to a contract. “It’s caused a rift between them, and Matthew’s kind of scratching his head over it. He told me, ‘It seems kind of cold, doesn’t it?’ “But he’s got to realize that when couples love each other, they usually get married.”

Matthew McConaughey, 40, and girlfriend Camila Alves, 26, have welcomed their second child, a baby girl. Their first child is a boy named Levi, 17 months.

Their daughter arrived Sunday, Jan. 3 at 12:13 a.m. weighing 7 lbs., 7 oz. The couple named their baby girl Vida Alves McConaughey.

McConaughey announced the arrival of his daughter on his website saying, “‘Vida’ is Portuguese for ‘life’ and that’s what God gave us this morning. Camila’s recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family. Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers along the way, another blessed day, we give thanks.”

The couple announced in June that they were expecting for a second time.

“We pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time. Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows.”

McConaughey began dating the Brazilian model 2006. They chose not to find out the sex of the baby prior to delivery, just as they did with Levi.

Matthew McConaughey’s neighbors are fed up with his boozing at the local beach and want him to curb his drinking in front of their kids.

Like that is ever going to happen!

“Matt is rarely seen without a bottle or can of beer in his hand — he likes to unwind with friends. They surf and down beer after beer.”

But his neighbors want him to give it up, the sources says. “The kids who play on the beach think Matt’s cool because he’s in movies,” the insider says.

But the parents think he’s a bad influence. “They don’t want their sons and daughters watching Matt get tipsy. Matt thinks they are overreacting. He says he’s a dad, too, and they should mind their own business.”

What do you think?

If McConaughey and his buddies aren’t breaking any laws or directly putting anyone in danger, then his neighbors are going to have to chill out.  Maybe the parents should talk to their children about what it means to be responsible.  Besides, children will more often than not follow their parent’s lead, not mimic random celebrities. 

Don’t forget that Matt’s brother, Rooster, named his son Miller Lyte.  Those McConaughey boys like their beer!

This might explain why Matthew McConaughey is the way he is.

In her new book, I Amaze Myself! (iamazemyself.com), Matthew’s mother, Kay McConaughey dishes on everything from her son Matthew’s conception to how her husband died in a compromising position with her!

“On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love,” Kay, 77, says. “But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened.

“I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him. Just nothing,” she says. “But it was just the best way to go!”

And when her man couldn’t be revived, she made sure he was taken from the house in the buff.  Yes, dead and naked!!!

“I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift,” she says.

Kay says, “I would love to be on Oprah!”

Anyone promoting a book wants to be on Oprah. Duh!

She also says that Matthew, 38, was a “happy accident.”

It was just after she’d married Matthew’s dad for the third time.

“I was deciding, ‘Do I want to have another baby? Do I want to have an affair? Or go back to school?’” she says. “That’s when Matthew was conceived. We had tried for 16 years and no baby. So Matthew was a big surprise!”

Kay is very…open about her personal life.  Wow!!!

Here is Matthew McConaughey, his one-month-old son Levi, and his girlfriend Camila Alves going for a stroll.  Matthew carries the baby while Camila carries Matthew’s skateboard. 

I’m sure Matthew is a loving father, but there is something a little unsettling about the skateboard being a part of this picture.  The immaturity factor?  The danger factor?  I’m not sure what it is, but something seems a bit off here.

A barefoot Matthew McConaughey pushed newborn son Levi in a stroller in Malibu, California. When Levi starts walking, we hope that Matthew will at least put shoes on his little one!

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of Levi in the near future. And he will probably be shirtless, just like his daddy!

 

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcomed a little one into the world on Monday, but they weren’t the only celebrities having a kid.

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend of two years, Camila Alves welcomed a son into the world on Monday night.  The baby boy is the first child for the couple.  The baby came into the world weighing a healthy 7 pounds, 4 ounces. 

No word yet on the baby’s name.

McConaughey has a brother named Rooster.  Rooster,54 has a two-year old son named Miller Lyte, after his favorite beer.  I’m not kidding.

Should we expect to see Matthew and his son, both shirtless, on the beach in weeks to come?  I can totally picture Matthew jogging up and down the beach with his kid.
