Jennifer Lopez is doing is guest spot on “How I Met Your Mother” and Neil Patrick Harris posted a picture on Twitter, giving us a preview.
NPH wrote, , “Jennifer Lopez was really great – hot, cool, and funny. And well prepared! She gave me a few pointers. Here’s one:”
Lopez plays a no-nonsense self-help author, Anita Appleby, who teaches women how to retrain men through the power of denial in an episode to air in March, the network announced Wednesday.
The storyline has Robin (Cobie Smulders) telling Lopez’s character about Barney’s (Harris) womanizing ways. Lopez’s character then sets out to “break” him.
“We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest starred,” series executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays said in a statement.
Lopez is also in talks to guest star on Fox’s hit “Glee.”
Both Britney Spears and Rachel Bilson have done turns on “How I Met Your Mother,” and Carrie Underwood is set to make her acting debut on an upcoming episode.
Carrie Underwood recently shot a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother.
Taking to her blog, the country singer wrote, “I got to hang out with the whole cast, dress up like a flight attendant, play a cavewoman and had a baby pig poop on me…that’s right…jealous I’m just glad I grew up on a farm because I think I was the only one who knew how to hold and wasn’t afraid of a little piglet!”
And the cast didn’t seem to mind a Carrie’s lack of experience on set, adding that they, “made me feel right at home and were super patient and great with me and my lack of experience!”
Carrie’s episode will air in March, where she will be playing a mysterious pharmaceutical sales rep who catches the eye of Ted.
“I’m giving up the music business and I’m going to become a professional sitcom actress!” she wrote. “Just kidding, of course, but I did have a blast while I was there!”

Does this mean Stella is the one?
Ted (Josh Radnor) and Stella (Sarah Chalke) are apparently going to the chapel, but are they really going to get married? If they do, that might mean that Stella is the mother of his children. Or did Ted have two marriages???
I can’t wait until How I Met Your Mother is back on with new episodes. It is one of my favorite shoes and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) is hilarious!
That’s the question we fans are left with this morning after sources on How I Met Your Mother confirmed that “Yes, we will have a wedding with these two early in the season.”
A wedding, huh? That doesn’t mean they actually get married though.

The handsome Neil Patrick Harris graces the cover of Out magazine for September. He talks about gay marriage, his view on relationships, and what it was like coming out.
On coming out:
OUT: Did growing up in Hollywood make it easier or harder for you to come out?
NPH: I think it was harder. Actually, I think it was easier for me, because I was around a lot of people who were gay and I was around a lot of people who were very confident. I was surrounded by people I could talk to freely about anything, and they were very successful emotionally and otherwise.
OUT: And yet…
NPH: And yet, part of the coming-out process is figuring out who you like and what that means and how to act upon it. Being an actor reduced my level of anonymity. I couldn’t just go to some bar and walk in and ask someone out on a date, because there was too much awareness of me. So it made it more difficult in that sense. I couldn’t be, like, “Maybe I like this kind of guy” or “Maybe I’m into this” — I couldn’t really experiment. I sort of had to narrow my gaze from afar. If I had any regret, it would be that strange lack of anonymity that created panic within myself that I would be found out. But I think that’s everyone’s big fear.
On being a childhood star but turning out normal:
OUT: Why does it seem like none of the gay child actors ever go the Diff’rent Strokes route and spiral out of control? You, Danny Pintauro, Chad Allen, Sara Gilbert: You’re all described by most accounts as well-adjusted. Did being gay affect that?
NPH: Maybe I felt a bit restrained when I was out and partying as a kid at trendy clubs, that I was putting on a bit of an act within myself — like having to act like those chicks should sit with us at our booth even though I didn’t really enjoy it. Maybe that kept me from going out as much? But then again, I could rattle [off] more examples of people who are deeply closeted and turn to hard-core drugs and party all the time to escape it. But I like your statistics.
OUT: How would you say the business has changed for gay actors in the past 20 years?
NPH: It’s all uniquely so personal to each person. I can’t say that the business is any different now than it was then, because I wasn’t 30 years old then and in a position to stand tall and say something. I think the fears that enveloped me then would be the same fears that would envelop people that are 15, 16, 17 now.
OUT: So your advice to a gay actor who is 16 now is no different than it would have been when you were 16?
NPH: Oh, no. Clearly there’s way more exposure and a much larger gray area with sexuality and the public’s opinion towards it — on almost every level — professionally, artistically, legally. What made it more unique 20 years ago was that there were less examples — so that made it a shock. And I think the shock value has kind of worn off.
On gay marriage and his four year relationship with David Burtka:
NPH: I think if and when we do [get married], we’d probably announce it after the fact as opposed to making any big announcement. We both wear rings, and I’m giddy when I see all the pictures of people so happy standing there, confirming the love they wish they could have expressed for a long time. I’m a big proponent of monogamous relationships regardless of sexuality, and I’m proud of how the nation is steering toward that.

It wasn’t tough for Britney Spears to decide to reprise her role as ditzy receptionist Abby on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother.
“I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn’t wait to come back,” the singer said in a statement Monday. “I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again.
“Everyone was so nice,” she added. “Abby is going to have a lot of fun!”
This time around, Spears’ lovable but ditzy Abby no longer pines for Ted (Josh Radnor). She falls for Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).
According to a CBS release, the “couple” — who don matching V-neck baby blue sweaters — go to the show’s local hangout bar to “flaunt their new relationship in Ted’s face.”
This is one of our personal favorite television shows (besides The Office), and we thought Britney did a great job the last time she was on the show. We can’t wait to see what Abby and Barney get themselves into!
