Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been married for one year.

So how did the couple celebrate one year of wedded bliss? If you are thinking by having a low-key romantic dinner, then you are sorely mistaken. That’s not how a diva does things!

Mariah and Nick had a bash in Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort’s Palms Place. They kicked things off with  a celebrity-filled dinner of about 50 people including L.A. Reid, Tyrese Gibson, Sanaa Lathan and Floyd Mayweather.

After dinner, the group moved over to the Moon Nightclub, where Nick surprised Mariah with a video presentation of the best moments from their first year of marriage. Then, 1,000 balloons were released into the sky when the Moon roof opened as partiers toasted them.

After the couple cut into a giant pink and white five-tiered Duncan Hines Yellow cake, Nick hit the turntables and spun tunes.

It sounds like they had fun! Good for them!

Mariah Carey, 39, hosted a 28th birthday party for her husband, Nick Cannon at Pure night club in Las Vegas.

I can’t believe Ellen DeGeneres is 50!

Ellen had a big birthday bash on Saturday night to celebrate her 50th birthday.  Her party was on Warner Bros. lot.  No press were allowed, but she will be showing some clips from her birthday on her show.

Ellen knows how to party and invited about 600 friends! Among well-wishers were newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Janet Jackson, theJonas Brothers, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Allison Janney, T.R. Knight, Ray Romano, Joely Fisher, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Paris and Nicky Hilton with their boyfriends Benji Madden and David Katzenberg and, of course, DeGeneres’ girlfriend, Portia de Rossi.

Pink performed three acoustic numbers, including Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee,” Samantha Ronson (Lindsay Lohan’s rumored girlfriend) deejayed and there was a fireworks display. The menu included sushi from Sushi Roku, Pinkberry and Fry Girl doughnuts.

Mariah and Nick are so in love, they’re already talking about having kids, she’s said.

Carey’s also said repeatedly that she’s “eternally 12″ years old.

Twelve-year-olds should NOT be having kids!

I’m not sure why such an accomplished woman would refer to herself as being 12 inside. Something is a little twisted about that.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have obtained a marriage license in the Bahamas.

Congrats to the newlyweds!

They just announced their engagment! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have wed, Latina magazine reports.

The two got hitched in a small ceremony on an island Wednesday, according to the magazine. They quote a source as saying it was “very implusive.”

Rapper Da Brat attended, the magazine says.

Longtime pals, Carey, 38, and the 27-year-old rapper-actor connected when he directed the video for her latest single, “Bye Bye,” in late March.
