Rosie O’Donnell may have said last month that she was done commenting on breakup rumors dogging her relationship with her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, but that changed Friday.

On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O’Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired chihuahua.

“Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you,” pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O’Donnell’s dog Misty. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.”

O’Donnell confirmed: “She does! She burrows in the bed right next to me.”

And, when asked who “sometimes looks after her,” O’Donnell explained her four children all fight over caring for the pup, which she got three days after Carpenter left. “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog.”

On Oct. 20, O’Donnell told USA Today, “We’re a family, we remain a family … Kelli and I love each other very much, and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties.”

If you’ve missed Rosie O’Donnell then you’ll be happy to know that she is getting her own show on Sirius XM Radio this fall.

The show, called Rosie Radio, will be a two-hour daily show.

O’Donnell says that the deal came through after she was a guest on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show earlier this year.

“He’s been very encouraging,” O’Donnell, 47, said about the shock jock, the Associated Press reports. “After I did his show, they called and asked if I was interested. I don’t really listen to radio, so I started thinking about it and listening. I asked if they could possibly do it at my house because that would really make it convenient for me with four kids, and they said yes, so I was like, ‘Wow. Let’s try that.’

“I think it’ll be good for me,” O’Donnell says of the new venture. “I’ve been lucky. I’ve had seven years of early retirement. All my kids are in school now, so all day long I have nothing to do. This was the first year that they were all in school all day, and I found myself very bored. I was saying to Kelli, we either need to get another kid or I’ll have to go back to work.”

Once it starts up in the fall, Rosie Radio will air Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET (7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m, PT) on SIRIUS XM Stars, SIRIUS channel 102 and XM channel 155.

Sirius is already home to Oprah Radio, Martha Stewart Living Radio and O’Donnell’s former View mentor and tormentor, Barbara Walters. And, yes, Rosie will take phonecalls.

Madonna is helping Rosie O’Donnell deal with menopause.

Rosie told Tyra Banks, on The Tyra Banks Show, that she has been emailing back and forth with Madge about her menopause symptoms.

“She’s great, she’s a lot like a big sister,” O’Donnell says. “When I started having my hormone things, I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ she’s like, ‘Get the cream.’”

Rosie continued to be candid, saying, “Well let me tell you one thing, Tyra: I am about to be 47 next month and Aunt Flow has not shown up for nine months.”

Rosie also told Tyra that she stopped drinking at the urging of her oldest son, Parker.

“I stopped drinking on Dec. 1. It has not been easy,” she admits. “On Nov. 29, I was with my son, who is now 13, and I said to him, ‘Park, can you get me a beer?’” she says. “And he said, ‘No I don’t want to.’ And I said, ‘Really why not?’ And he says, ‘Because you know what, I think you drink too much beer…Lately I think it’s too much.’

Parker suggests his adopted mom join Alcoholics Anonymous.

“He said, ‘There’s a drunk club. I forget what it’s called, but you have to, like, be really drunk to get in. I don’t know if they’d let you in, but you could ask them for tips,’” O’Donnell says.

Wow, Rosie doesn’t hold anything back!

Rosie O’Donnell is returning to the airwaves just in time for the holidays, signing on to host Rosie’s Variety Show as a one-off special for NBC.

The hourlong show, airing live Nov. 26—the night before Thanksgiving—could develop into a regular series should enough Nielsen-boxed viewers tune in to the program.

O’Donnell and NBC seem to be throwing everything they can into the show to ensure a something-for-everyone appeal.

After backing out of work commitments because her oldest son broke his wrist, Rosie O’Donnell has also decided not to do any blogging during the month of August.

I understand that kids come first, but that is a lot of time off for a kid’s broken wrist. Maybe Ro just needs some time to decompress. Maybe she is resting and preparing for a possible hosting gig with NBC.

Remember when Rosie ODonnell was known as the Queen of Nice?  We adore Rosie, but that seems so long ago.

Rosie O’Donnell might have a deal with NBC in the works.  If everything pans out, Rosie will be the host of a variety show.  They are looking to have the show on the air by 2009 and it will have the same feel as The Ed Sullivan Show.

It should be noted that Jay Leno’s contract is up with NBC in May 2009.  I wonder if NBC would want Jay to host a variety show if the plan with Rosie doesnt work out.

Check out a clip from Howard Stern’s radio show this morning.  He and Rosie O’Donnell were dishing the dirt together.  They even discussed Rosie doing a radio show.  I think they were just kidding, but I would absolutely listen to Rosie on Sirius!  Uncensored Rosie would be fantastic!

Rosie O’Donnell has Miley Cyrus’s back. She’s taken to her blog to defend the Disney star after her controversial Vanity Fair photographs set off a surge of criticism.

“Leave Miley Cyrus alone,” O’Donnell says in a video posted Monday night. “Disney [is] making her apologize. Ay yi yi.”

While some have described the portraits as too risqué and have deemed them “inappropriate” for a 15-year-old – O’Donnell finds them beautiful, she says, explaining that working with celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz can be an intimidating experience.

“Listen, Annie Leibovitz – I had two photo shoots with her,” O’Donnell says. “You kind of do what she says. It’s intimidating. I also didn’t think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was sort of a beautiful portrait.

And she continued: “I like the one of her and her dad, too. I don’t know. It’s Annie Leibovitz, people.”

O’Donnell has also polled her readers, asking in her “Question of the Day” feature: Do U Care About This Photo? (A majority of her readers have responded ‘no.’)

For her part, Cyrus apologized for the photographs – and Leibovitz too has said she’s sorry for any misinterpretation.

We think the photos of Miley and Billy Ray are pretty creepy. As for the picture of Miley with the sheet around her, her people (parents, wranglers, etc.) were there for the shoot and approved of it. They were shown all of the pictures as they were being taken. Remember that Britney was once a Disney kid, turned sexy young lady. Just sayin’.

At a star-studded event sponsored by Gucci to raise money for UNICEF and her own non-profit organization Raising Malawi at the United Nations on Wednesday, host Madonna – with daughter Lourdes, 11 – greets guests Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise and Rosie O’Donnell.
