The 82nd Annual Academy Awards might feel more like the Kid’s Choice Awards with this lineup of presenters. Word has leaked that Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, both of the hugely successful Twilight franchise, will be presenting. It has been officially announced that Disney royalty Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus will also attend and present. It is not clear if Efron and Cyrus will be presenting together.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences previously announced that Sean Penn, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz, who won acting Oscars a year ago, will present honors this time around.

The Academy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on March 7.

Although they tried their best to reconcile, Robin Wright Penn has filed for divorce from Sean Penn. People magazine reports, Robin filed the paperwork to legally end the couples’ marriage in Marin County on Wednesday, August 12.

These two have gone down this road before, but is it really over this time? They’ve also filed papers to split twice in the last few years, only to reconcile as recently as May.

Robin has said that there’s no chance that the two will remain together this time, saying, “I hit that crossroad a while ago. I know what I don’t want.”


The two have been together since 1989 and married since 1996.

The report adds, “Wright Penn’s filing states that both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody over their minor son, Hopper Jack, 16, and that the estranged couple have already agreed to division of all property.”

In addition to son Hopper, they have a daughter Dylan Frances, 18, who is headed off to college.

 

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have called off their divorce again, court documents show.

The Milk actor filed a request in Marin County Superior Court Thursday to dismiss their legal separation case, New York’s Daily News reports.

“It was an arrogant mistake,” Penn told the newspaper.

Last month, Penn actor filed for “legal separation with minor children” from his wife of 13 years.

Penn, 48, initially filed for divorce in December 2007, but his petition was later dismissed. Three days later, Wright Penn, 43, filed her own paperwork.

But in April 2008, the couple’s divorce petition was dismissed at their request.

They attended February’s Academy Awards, where Penn won his second Best Actor Oscar for his role as gay rights activist Harvey Milk.

He did not thank wife Robin – with whom he has two children, Dylan, 18, and Hopper Jack, 15 — while accepting his award.

It was reported Penn had cozied up to actress Natalie Portman earlier this month, which she denied.

 

Sean Penn, 48, and Robin Wright Penn, 43, just couldn’t make their marriage work this time around.

Back in December of 2007, Sean filed for divorce from Robin, but his request was later dismissed. Just three days after, Robin filed her own paperwork, but in April of 2008 the couple mutually decided to dismiss the petition.

Now, Sean has yet again filed for “legal separation with minor children.” Penn and Wright have been married since April 27, 1996 and they have two children, Dylan, 18 and Hopper Jack, 15.

In February the couple stepped out together for the Academy Awards, where Penn won Best Actor for his role in Milk. During his memorable acceptance speech the 48-year-old actor left his wife out of his speech, later claiming “she knew there wouldn’t be enough time.”

He told Oprah Winfrey that his gratitude for his wife was “implicit.”

“I wanted to keep things focused on the professional team around this movie,” he explained. “Because with Robin comes my mother and my son and my daughter, and half of them will punish me if I mention them.”

 

Sean Penn may still be married to Robin Wright Penn (who sat next to him at the Oscars, cried when he won, and wasn’t mentioned in his speech), but he was caught getting cozy recently with actress Natalie Portman.

Following a romantic dinner at Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar on March 17 — during which they were “constantly touching each other” — Sean, 48, and Natalie, 27, hooked up.

They previously served together on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.

“They went to a bank of elevators that only goes to the spa or to private rooms,” an eyewitness says. “They came back about 45 minutes later, and that’s when I saw them making out.”

The source continued, “There’s a door outside of the hotel’s Tower Bar that has a bridge to the terrace, so it’s semi-private. I used that path to get to the restroom, and when I came back, I had to go through some curtains — and that’s when I interrupted Sean and Natalie! When they saw me, they were startled and quickly composed themselves.”

Lesson to Sean: If you are going to get a private room, then stay there.

Natalie could do so much better than Sean Penn. He’s 20 years older than her and still married. Eww!

The 2009 Academy Awards were announced today. Brad Pitt’s latest movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” nabbed the most nods – 13 total. In a close second, the sleeper hit of the year “Slumdog Millionaire” scored 10 nominations.

The Oscars will be presented Feb. 22 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. The show, produced by Laurence Mark and exec produced by Bill Condon, will be hosted by Hugh Jackman and air live on ABC.

Woody Harrelson has married Laura Louie. She is the mother of his three daughters and the couple has been together for 20 years.

Never say never, right ladies?!

The couple first met when Louie worked as Harrelson’s personal assistant in 1987.

They wed near Harrelson’s home in Kipahulu on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

The celebrities in attendance were Owen Wilson, Willie Nelson, Sean Penn, and Alanis Morissette.

We bet lots of herb was smoked to celebrate. Woody Harrelson has been a hemp activist for years. And Willie Nelson was there!

New couple alert!

Less than two months after he announced his separation from his wife of 11 years, Sean Penn hit Sunday night’s Oscar party circuit with a new blonde beauty on his arm: model Petra Nemcova.

The two arrived together (or, at least, simultaneously) at the Elton John AIDS Foundation screening party. Although they separated briefly – he did an interview while she posed for pictures – they eventually reunited for the cameras, as Penn wrapped his arm around her for a few photos.

So, are they dating? The actor, 47, and model, 28, avoided any clear-cut PDA. And when asked about her escort, Nemcova, wearing a custom-designed Roberto Cavalli dress, would only tell PEOPLE, “Yes, we are friends. He is on the advisory board of my charity.”

Friends who’ve been spending quite a bit of time together: A source confirms that the two also hit L.A. hotspot Villa the night before.

Penn announced his separation from actress Robin Wright Penn just after Christmas. In the divorce papers, both cite “irreconcilable differences” and ask for joint legal and physical custody of their two teenagers, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16.

Last year, Nemcova made the Oscar party rounds with then-boyfriend James Blunt. But she and the “You’re Beautiful” singer split shortly afterward.

Sienna Miller may be the catalyst for Sean Penn and Robin Wright-Penn’s divorce. Sienna and Sean were spotted together partying in a New York hotel suite while Robin was home with the kids.

NY Daily News reports, “Sienna was sitting on Sean’s lap,” according the source. “She was dressed very sexily. She had her arm around his neck.” That night, claims the source, they stayed up quite late.

There’s never a simple reason for a couple to part after 20 years. But if Sienna Miller didn’t cause Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn to split up, some claim she may not have been a good influence.
