It’s exactly two years since Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes walked down the aisle!
Despite the inevitable rocky-relationship rumors that dog every high-profile union, the romance that began with some notorious sofa-jumping back in 2005 still seems to be going strong.
Happy Anniversay, Tom and Katie!

According to Forbes’ second annual ranking of the most (and least) bankable actors in Hollywood, Nicole Kidman’s films earn a mere $1 for every dollar Kidman was paid, compared with $8 in 2007. “The Invasion,” a second remake of the 1956 classic “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” actually lost $2.68 for every dollar Kidman earned.
To compile the list, they looked at each star’s last three films that opened wide before Jan. 1 (in order to give each film time for a DVD release). They didn’t count animated movies, supporting roles or anyone consistently earning under $5 million per movie.
Here’s the list of overpaid actors/actresses.
1. Nicole Kidman
2. Jennifer Garner
3. Tom Cruise
4. Cameron Diaz
5. Jennifer Lopez
6. Jim Carrey
7. Nicolas Cage
8. Drew Barrymore
9. Will Ferrell
10. Cate Blanchett

Too cute!
Tom Cruise carries daughter Suri, 2, to a heliport in New York City.
We’ll take a ride with you anytime, Tom!
Katie Holmes took a break from rehearsing All My Sons to hang out with husband Tom Cruise in NYC.
Check out Katie’s nail polish. I’ve seen so many people wearing metallic blue. You like?
Have you seen Tropic Thunder yet? I hear Tom is hilarious in it!

Katie Holmes — in heels that made her considerably taller than hubby Tom Cruise — and her husband walked the red carpet at the Tropic Thunder premiere. After they finished taking pictures, they signed autographs for fans before heading into the theater. Our spies say that during the last scene of the movie — which features Cruise in a dancing sequence — Holmes clapped loudly and couldn’t stop laughing. Cruise’s kids, Connor and Isabella, sat behind them during the screening.
According to writer Etan Coen, “Tom Cruise is an absolute revelation in this movie. People will not believe it. You won’t be disappointed.”
I’m torn about seeing this movie. I’ve heard that it is incredibly funny, but I know that mentally challenged people are also a target in Tropic Thunder. I’m not sure how jokes like that could be done in decent taste.

Katie Holmes is ready to see her name in lights!
Mrs. Tom Cruise has signed on to make her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. The former Dawson’s Creek star joins Broadway vets John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest in the revival this fall.
It will be Katie’s first play since high school and let’s hope she’s ready as she’ll be performing six nights a week. Holmes will play a woman who visits the family of her former lover, a missing pilot. Holmes will be on stage six nights a week.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala last night. Katie looked fab! We love her makeup — very glam.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are spotted leaving their New York City hotel with one cuddly bundle, daughter Suri, 2.
It has been said that the tabloid rumors are “eating away” at Katie Holmes. The actress once told Vanity Fair, “Some of the crap that’s out there — it’s really frustrating the amount of s–t that’s out there.” As for the various reports concerning her marriage to Tom Cruise or their daughter, Suri, Katie wouldn’t address all the particulars. “I do know what is being said in the press. This is my family, and I do care about them. The stories are not OK.”
I’ve never understood why Tom and Katie have been so villanized in the media. They seem like lovely people. Suri is getting so big, and even cuter! Sweet!
Oprah is getting some much talked about interviews. Today and Monday, her Tom Cruise interviews will air. Then on Tuesday, her Barbara Walters interview will be on. Some juicy dish from the Walters interview has already surfaced.
Barbara Walters has confessed to having a relationship with then-married Senator Edward Brooke during the 1970s.
Walters shared details of her several-year romance with the Massachusetts Republican on the Oprah Winfrey Show in a taped interview to air Tuesday.
When asked if she was in love, The View host responded, “I was certainly - I don’t know - I was infatuated.”
The twice-divorced Walters went on to say, “I was certainly involved… He was exciting. He was brilliant. It was exciting times in Washington.”
Walters was on the show to discuss her new memoir, Audition.
In the first part of his interview with Oprah Winfrey (airing Friday), Tom Cruise reveals that he jumped on her couch in 2005 because he was so in love with Katie Holmes and couldn’t contain himself.
Winfrey confessed that the incident caught her by surprise.
“When we finished that show with you jumping up on the sofa, I was like, ‘Wow. What was that?’” she tells him in an interview in his Telluride, Colo., home. “I had no idea it was going to turn into an international brouhaha, as I’m sure you did not either.”
She even confesses, “I was a little nervous coming up this morning, I have to admit, because you and I have not sat down for a real conversation since the sofa incident.”
Cruise tells Winfrey, “I just felt that way, and I feel that way about her.
“I can’t even articulate it, to be honest,” he adds. “That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me.”
Of the negative response to his couch jumping, Cruise says, “It just kind of kept going.
“Those things I kind of go, ‘You just have to take in stride.’ It just kind of became a confluence of things.”
ON MATT LAUER
He also opened up about his 2005 interview with Matt Lauer (Cruise attacked the anchor, calling him “glib” during a chat about psychiatry and the use of anti-depressant drugs).

Tom Cruise is returning to “Oprah”!
The actor hasn’t appeared on Winfrey’s daytime talk show since his June 23, 2005, appearance where in addition to promoting “War of the Worlds,” he very enthusiastically expressed his love for future wife Katie Holmes (we’re putting the whole couch incident in the past).
It’s not clear what the focus of this show will be, but it is well-timed to May sweeps, and a quick look at the calendar shows that this summer is the 25th anniversary of Cruise’s breakthrough role in “Risky Business.”
We think Tom is a sweet guy and we hope his appearance goes with controversary.
