Hugh Hefner

Is Hugh Hefner finally partied out?

Sources are saying that Hugh Hefner has decided that this year’s Halloween party will be the last Playboy event that he hosts.

After decades and decades of wild nights, we hear Hef is calling it a day and that Playboy Enterprises has decided that this party and the upcoming annual Halloween party will be the last that the magazine mogul personally throws as a means to cut costs.

You know our economy is bad when even Hugh Hefner is cutting costs.

Last Saturday night Hef hosted his annual Midsummer Night’s Dream party at his iconic mansion. The event attracted a slew of stars such as Paris and Nicky Hilton, Matthew Perry, Brody Jenner, Jenny McCarthy and Hef’s 83-year-old pal Tony Curtis, but for the first time some ultra-eager party peeps were able to pre-purchase tickets and buy their way inside. Hmm…that definitely sounds corporate.

So no more bunnies and rich old guys partying at the mansion?

Do you think Hef can go cold turkey?  I thought those parties kept him young.  I know they host parties practically every weekend, but you’d think Hef would cease the lesser-know parties and still have one or two of his iconic parties each year.

A rep from Playboy kept mum on the murmurs, saying: “Who knows what will happen in a year from now?”

Fear not! If you always wanted to party at the mansion and you have tons of money, then you can rent it. The mansion is still going to be rented out for private parties with companies paying big bucks to spend a few hours amid a little slice of Hollywood history.

Do the bunnies come with the rental fee?
