Kevin Jonas‘ purity ring can come off now. He’s married!
Kevin, the oldest of the Jonas brothers at age 22, and his longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa, 23, a former hairdresser, were married in a private ceremony on Saturday night, December 19th. The young couple met in 2007 while on vacation in the Bahamas with their respective families. Kevin popped the question in July with another custom-made sparkler from Jacob and Co.
The newlyweds told the press, “”We’re so happy that we’re finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones.”
The bride wore a “strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown,” and according to reports, Kevin couldn’t stop smiling as his bride made her way to the alter.
Kevin’s brothers Joe and Nick were the best men. The couple exchanged traditional wedding vows. There were 400 guests at the 5pm snowy ceremony. Though a blizzard threatened the festivities, the wedding at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York (which also hosted the nuptials of NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and was featured in the Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher movie What Happens in Vegas) went forward as scheduled.
“The snow only made it look more like a winter wonderland,” said Michael Russo, a celebrity event planner of Roses-n-Lollipops, who for Saturday’s event created a fairytale forest under heated white tents, complete with 14-foot trees draped in hydrangeas and crystals made to look like icicles.
“Kevin has said many times he feels like he met his princess,” says Russo. “To see them together you can feel the warmth and the love all around them. They are just perfect for each other.”
After the ceremony, guests were to be treated to a smorgasbord of Caribbean, Asian and Italian – among other dishes.
