Mad Men star and America’s sexiest housewife, January Jones has the perfect name for a cover girl.

Jones, who appeared with Jack Nicholson in the film Anger Management, says the actor watched nearly the entire first season of Mad Men without realizing that she was Betty Draper.

“That was pretty awesome, she says of getting the call from Nicholson. “It was a kind of vindication, especially since not everyone in Hollywood has always been so positive.”

One big name that wasn’t so supportive was ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher.

“The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting,” she says. “He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this…He only has nice things to say now—if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.”

The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is set to kick off Thursday, but Timberlake has been busy hosting events in conjunction with the tournament for the last two days.

Timberlake and professional golf coach Butch Harmon held a youth golf clinic Sunday at TPC at Summerlin. Monday, Timberlake appeared at the Callaway Golf Center to try for a hole-in-one to raise money for Shriners.

“There’s a lot of fun things to do here in Vegas,” Timberlake said at Monday’s event. “It’s just a great week we’re able to put together.”

Timberlake and the tournament will host a Team Smile program Tuesday, where children can receive free dental care at the course. Wednesday is the Pro-Am Tournament, where Timberlake will host other celebrities, such as poker pros Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu, and musicians Alice Cooper and Kenny G.

Saturday night’s Justin Timberlake and Friends concert at Mandalay Bay — which also will feature TLC, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys and Ciara — will cap the week.

It’s all part of the PGA tournament’s effort to appeal to the Las Vegas community.

“We’re really trying to gear this tournament to be a week-long event,” tournament director Adam Sperling said at last month’s media day event. “And in the future, a week-long celebration of what we want to do in the community on a year-round basis.”

Two months ago, Timberlake recorded a hole-in-one at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank, Calif., on a 180-yard par 3. The hole was the same distance at Callaway Golf Center, but Timberlake couldn’t repeat his feat.

Callaway gave him three opportunities Monday with a custom-fit set of the company’s new Diablo irons. He missed the first attempt short and to the left, and the second one long and to the right. The third ball landed closer to the pin, but didn’t find the hole.

Timberlake blamed at least one of the misses on rustiness.

“I’d say I’ve played two times in the last three weeks,” he said.

Callaway pledged to donate $1 million to Shriners Hospitals if Timberlake made any of the three shots.

As Timberlake gazed into the crowd of reporters after he missed, he came up with an apt metaphor.

“This would be like Phil Mickelson trying to sing Andrea Bocelli at Madison Square Garden,” Timberlake said. “Only, we’re going to get Rolling Stone and all my press peers to watch him do it.”

He might have missed the hole-in-one, but Timberlake wasn’t complaining. Not this week.

“We get to come to Vegas and have fun,” he said.

In other Timberlake news, rumored lover Rihanna has reportedly phoned Jessica Biel to let her know that there’s nothing inappropriate going on between herself and Timberlake.

An inside source says, “Rihanna doesn’t want to be pegged a homewrecker. She loves Justin, but only as a friend. Rihanna apologized over the ridiculous nonsense that’s been printed. Rihanna has been cheated on in the past and one thing she would never do is take another woman’s guy. Sure, she and Justin are close, he’s producing her CD.”

Madonna is putting her shoes where her mouth is.

The Queen of Pop has offered one of her favorite pairs of Christian Dior shoes to a charity supporting Gypsy child education. Organizers said Tuesday the skyscraper gold heels, which are autographed by Madonna, will be sold at the Ovidiu Rom annual ball later this month.

Madonna drew international attention by saying during an August concert in Bucharest on her “Sticky & Sweet’” tour that widespread discrimination against East Europe’s Gypsies, also known as Roma, should end.

Thousands of fans responded by booing her.

“Madonna’s very mild comment regarding equality shone a spotlight on a common European attitude toward Gypsies,” Leslie Hawke, president of Ovidiu Rom, told The Associated Press. “We’re thrilled to have her donation because she is such an icon of innovation and vigor and ‘can do’ spirit.”

Hawke’s son, actor Ethan Hawke, will attend the ball and speak to guests.

Guests at the ball will make donations to win raffle tickets for the auction of donated prizes. This year’s items also will include a gold chain provided by actress Vanessa Redgrave.

American Idol winner and country darling Carrie Underwood is getting her own two-hour variety show on Fox.

Underwood, 26, will host Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton and fellow American Idol alum David Cook on her Dec. 7 show, tentatively titled Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special.

And while the Underwood show is a one-time event, the broadcast networks are looking to revive the variety format.

Jessica Simpson is upset about people giving her false tips about the whereabouts of her pet dog Daisy, which has been missing after a coyote dragged it off from her Los Angeles home.

Simpson, having given up the search for her five-year-old Malti-poo, says on her Twitter page that she doesn’t appreciate the false information her loved ones have received from pranksters claiming Daisy is alive.

“People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel. please respect her memory.”

After a week of searching, which included hanging posters that offered a reward and enlisting professional pet finders FindToto.com, Daisy was never recovered.

It’s a girl for Heidi Klum and Seal.

Klum, 36, gave birth to a girl, Lou Samuel, on Oct. 9 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms. She joins siblings Johan, 2 ½, Henry, 4, and Leni, 5, (Klum’s daughter from a previous relationship).

“It’s difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children,” Seal, 46, said in a statement. “Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?”

At 7:46 p.m. on Friday, he continued, “the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter… From the moment she looked into both of our eyes it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.”

Klum recently applied to change her last name to Seal’s surname of Samuel. She and Seal were married in 2005.

It’s time to pay the tax man, Nicolas Cage. The actor owes the IRS $6 million in back taxes from 2007. In addition, the Internal Revenue Service has yet another lien for over $350,000 in unpaid taxes dating from 2002 to 2004. As if that wasn’t bad enough, according to India’s The Economic Times, Cage, 45, is also being sued by East West Bank for the $2 million he borrowed from them and didn’t pay back. That’s a lot of debt!

His failure to pay surely can’t be due to a lack of funds, as he’s one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood and is worth an estimated $38 million.

The government has placed a tax lien on his vast real estate holdings because of $6 million in unpaid back taxes. Cage has begun liquidating his many legendary multimillion-dollar properties. He sold his castle in Germany, and has placed on the market his homes in California, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.
