Elton vs. Madonna: The fight continues!

Elton John was livid that Madonna decided to throw a last minute Oscar party, sources reveal.

With Vanity Fair canceling their annual soirée, usually the must attend soirée, Elton’s bash was poised to be THE party of the Academy Awards this year.

And then Madonna had to go and muck everything up for Sir Elton!

John’s party drew a crowd of B and C-lister, like J.C. Chasez, Lionel Richie, Simon Cowell, Larry King and Sean Penn, who obviously wasn’t at Madge’s soiree.

Madonna’s big bash, by comparison, was a star studded A-list affair. Seen: Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz, Demi & Ashton, Drew Barrymore, Owen Wilson and Penelope Cruz - just to name a few.

Plus, M’s party was thrown together in a matter of days.

“Elton DESPISES Madonna and this has made things way worse,” a source reveals.

Jerry Seinfeld says he was only kidding when he called a cookbook author a “wacko celebrity stalker.”

The comedian made the jab at Missy Chase Lapine last fall on the Late Show With David Letterman after Lapine had accused Seinfeld’s wife, Jessica, of plagiarizing her idea for a cookbook.

But in papers filed Friday, the Seinfelds’ lawyers dismissed Lapine’s plagiarism allegations, stating, “The idea of sneaking healthy foods into a child’s diet is not original to your author.”

They also slammed her slander and defamation claims, saying that the comedian’s “wacko” insults were “overstatements of opinion for comic effect.”

Lapine is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Sources reveal that all five New Kids on the Block are in Los Angeles today to take new publicity shots for the reunion tour they have yet to “officially” announce.

Colin Farrell says he’s thankful for the early diagnosis of his 4-year-old son’s neuro-genetic disorder and for the vast joy his “little fella” experiences.

“He’s nothing but a gift,” Farrell, 31, said about son James on the Irish interview show Tubridy Tonight. With paternal pride he said: “As far as I’m concerned he’s exactly the way he should be.”

Though he was on TV to promote his latest movie, In Bruges, Farrell addressed the topic of James, whose Angelman Syndrome was revealed publicly last year.

“Angelman’s is a neuro-genetic disorder,” he explained. “The 15th chromosome is dormant. It affects their fine motor skills. They say that one in 30,000 children is affected by it.”

According to his father, before James had celebrated his first birthday, he was showing signs of illness, which led to an early diagnosis for the boy.

“I’ve been very lucky that it was early because he started having seizures at about eight or nine months,” said Farrell. Initially doctors thought James had cerebral palsy but soon he was diagnosed correctly and “we got early intervention,” said the Irish actor.

The genetic disorder, which can impair speech, movement and balance meant that James walked his first few steps last fall, when he was 4. “It’s just different,” said the actor. “It’s not different to me. He has his own path. He’s just brilliant.”

Farrell shares custody of his son with the boy’s mother, model Kim Bordenave. He said he decided to go public about his son’s health after people started asking questions about his involvement with the Special Olympics.

“I didn’t talk about my son [but] I felt like I was betraying him, like it could be misconstrued as shame, which would be terrible, because he’s such a celebration,” says Farrell.

Questioning the concept of “normal,” Farrell says his son is happier than so many people in the world. “I look around and I see people who move perfectly, who walk with grace, who speak with great diction and clarity and a great use of the English language and we’re all miserable f—ers – including me, at times.”

“And then I see this fella who doesn’t move the way what’s perceived to be ‘normal’ is, and he’s as happy as can be.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt is speaking out about those infamous bathing suit pictures – and she couldn’t be happier.

“The thing I think is great is when those pictures were taken, no matter what, I had just been asked to marry,” says Hewitt, engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall, “so he loves me just the way I am.”

And if she does decide to something about her body, “I will for my health, not for typical reasons,” she said on Sunday at an Oscar viewing party at SBE’s The Abbey in West Hollywood.

“If I do work out more it will be for my health, so I can live a long time and we can have kids and be happy together until we are in our 80s,” Hewitt, 29, said at the event, benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles. “It won’t be because I am worried about how I look.”

Love looks damn good.  Anyone saying otherwise is an idiot.  I hope young girls and women take note of her healthy body, and healthy body image.

This week started off on the right foot for Britney Spears as she got to spend more time with her sons, 1-year-old Jayden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston yesterday. The boys were brought to Britney’s L.A. home in Kevin Federline’s gray Dodge Viper at around 9 a.m. and they stayed for just a little over three hours.

This visit comes right on the heels of the first visit Britney, 26, had with her kids on Saturday, which was almost two months since she had last seen them. A source close to Britney says that when she saw the kids on Saturday, the visit “went really well.”

This is a good sign that Britney is not only getting her life back on track, but that she and Kevin are dedicated to creating a healthy environment in which to raise their children.  Kevin has wanted Britney to get healthy and see their sons again.  K-Fed has turned out to be a pretty decent guy.

Spear’s camp is hoping to get visitation up to three times a week. Joining Britney at the visits are her father, Jamie Spears, Brit’s psychologist, one of K-Fed’s bodyguards, and the court-appointed monitor and a lawyer representing the conservatorship.

The next hearing for the ongoing custody battle is set to take place on April 9th.

Paris Hilton and beau Benji Madden were finally photographed together while the pair went shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. After “acting” like the weren’t together at LAX on Sunday, the heiress and the Good Charlotte guitarist were open with their affection, flirting and holding hands as they walked around the store. Benji is the twin brother of Joel Madden, baby daddy to Paris’ Simple Life co-star, Nicole Richie. We hear Paris has been wearing a Tiffany band from Benji on her ring finger! Benji has told pals “she’s the one”.  (That didn’t take long.)

Do you think longtime best friends, Paris and Nicole, will end up marrying twin brothers? Yeah, neither do we.

Sleaze-meister Joe Francis is still in the slammer on tax- evasion charges, but it’s not stopping him from expanding his “Girls Gone Wild” empire. The king of naked-coed videos is launching “Girls Gone Wild” magazine, a PG-13 print version of his raunchy video series in which drunken college girls are coaxed into stripping for the camera. The magazine, in the vein of Maxim and other “lad” publications, will hit newsstands April 15 with articles including “Wildest Spring Break Moments” and a photo spread featuring Kim Kardashian and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe wearing Francis’ signature swimwear line.

If you watch the E! reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, then you saw the photo shoot last season.

Joe must have an ironic sense of humor.  He is releasing the magazine on April 15, a.k.a. “Tax Day” and he is in jail on tax evasion charges.  Ha!
